WHY HAS IT TAKEN ME SO LONG?

Happy Thursday!

I hope you have had a good day.

No card to share tonight as it has been all wedding work and "happy couples" today .. .. but I do have a creation to share .. .. AND IT USES UP SOME OF THOSE PESKY SNIPPETS .. .. so for the first time ever I am going to visit Pixie's Snippet Playground twice in one week!!  

What I can't understand is why it has taken me so long to think of this little idea!!  I was searching through the embroidery thread "bit box" (AKA an old plastic ice cream tub) when I came across lots of strands of thread wound around little plastic holders .. .. mini versions of this.. .. ..

Just perfect for storing those lengths of ribbon that you want to keep nice and neat .. .. as well as space to write exactly what the make and colour etc is (not that that will be important to everyone but it will certainly save me some time).

Of course now I am going to have to make a proper template so that all of my little ribbon cards are the same shape and size and more symmetrical  (OTT or what?!?!?).

Or might I be able to persuade Sizzix to made a die "just like this" then I could cut some out of all those snippets of mountboard that I keep  LOL!!!

I hope your day has gone to plan and you had a good Tuesday.

Hope you aren't fed up with Christmas cards yet .. .. .. there is still at least another four weeks worth of them to do .. .. .. and if I were to say six weeks then it will all just be far too late as six weeks today it will be Christmas Eve!!  Eeeekkk!!!!

Better hurry up and post this one and then get another one made as I have some winter brides to keep happy too!!  LOL!!!

I know the aim is to try and make some "flatter" card for Christmas but I really didn't want the poinsettia to be flat when it came out of its packaging/envelope so I put a few blobs of Glossy Accents between the layers so that hopefully it keeps the layers a little upright. 

I probably should have put a couple of green leaves on there too.  Might slot a couple under and see how they look in the morning. The light is too rubbish to make such important decisions now LOL!!!

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Happy Sunday.

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

The weather has been bright and beautiful here today .. .. although a tad cold.

Sorry I "stood you all up" last night but we had a surprise opportunity to go out for an Indian meal with friends and took it.  We couldn't get in at our normal place so tried somewhere new.  It was a brilliant meal so a new "favourite" has been added to the "when we are lucky enough to eat out list".

I am here today though with my snippet make for taking over to Pixie's Snippet Playground.  I love using up all the pieces of paper and card I have squirreled away.  It feels like a great achievement when I use some of them up .. .. especially if they are still lying on the craft desk as some of these were.  The only problem is I make more snippets than I use!!

Must try harder!!

So here is my share for today:

I am always lazy on a Sunday and don't list my ingredients but that is in part because my papers are always a mish mash from lots of different places .. .. and that is especially true with this little make.  

But I will let you know the stamp set because it was so lovely to use and is perfect for paper piecing.  It is from Woodware Clear Magic Stamps and is called "Little Christmas Bird".

It would seem that I also gave some of you a little bit of torture treatment with the heart on my previous post. Sorry :-(  tee hee!!!
