My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I am hoping to share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce always carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all been having a lovely weekend.

Yesterday was a busy day here and today in comparison started off quite relaxed and chilled .. ..  but it hotted up as the day has progressed.

Sunday is quite often the day that my current happy couples have chance to choose wording and fonts for their stationery, check through proofs and decide on final designs .. .. but it is also the day that "new happy couples" often make an appearance as they have had chance to sit down and do a bit of research and have often pulled out my business card following a visit and chat at a wedding fayre .. .. but what amazes me is that it can have been 12 or 18 months ago and they have kept my card ready for when the time was right for them to start the ball rolling .. .. or as little as two weeks ago as was the case with one caller today.

Certainly lots of work has arrived on the scene during the course of this week!  Lucky, lucky me!!

So all of the happenings of today means it has taken nearly all day to create my two snippet makes for taking over to Pixie's Snippet Playground:

As always on a Sunday I don't list my ingredients but just ask away if you want to know anything and I will try my best to come back to you.

I am not too sure on my Christmas card this week.  I will see what it looks like in the cold light of day tomorrow .. .. but I am pleased that it has used up a piece of material that has been kicking around my craft pod for years!!  At least I have seen the back of that.  It was cut from a panel of fabric that contains lots of Christmas images from Hobbycraft.  I didn't like the way it ballooned up once I have stitched it to a base card so I stitched around the snowman too.  That improved things a little.

I think my main problem is that everything is at a jaunty angle.  I don't cope with things being on an angle very well .. .. really must try and get over that bit of insecurity.   I wonder if there is "jaunty angle therapy" available or whether you just have to feel the pain and work through it!!   LOL!!

So that is me for today.

Catch you again when I do.

Enjoy the rest of your evening.

ANNIVERSARY WISHES

Hi Everyone

I can't believe it is Friday already.

It has been one very, very, very busy week here in the House of Hearts.

Lots made both wedding wise and general order wise .. .. just no time to photograph and post any of it!

But I can't let a weekend approach without wishing everyone a "happy weekend" and sharing a little creation:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3338J" Long Kiss!
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Papers:  Nitwit Collections "Quilty Pleasures"
Martha Stewart Edge Punch:  Daisy
Woodward Punches:  Daisy (4 sizes)
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Nestabilities: Square
Diamond Stickles
ProMarkers
Ribbon

Now if I was organised I would be putting this card to one side ready to give my lovely hubby later this month .. .. but nah!!!  I am never that organised where my own needs are concerned!  This one is already spoken for elsewhere.

My "do list" is making it very unlikely that I will blog visiting for a while .. .. so I will say a big fat

"sorry"

now .. .. but I will try and post some hearts for you to find as and when I can.

So that just leaves me wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

SKETCH AND STASH CHALLENGE 134

Hi Everyone

I hope your week has got off to a good start.  The sun shone here again today!!  Yay!!!

Part of my day included joining in with the Sketch and Stash Challenge for this fortnight:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "1729K" Just Buzzin' By!
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat (no longer available)
Backing Papers:  Docrafts "Forever Friends Kraft Notes"
Martha Stewart Punch:  Doily Lace
ProMarkers

As part of the challenge you have to use some either new or neglected stash .. .. and this time I went for neglected stash .. .. which are the little kraft photo-corners which I bought from Paperchase when we were staying in York last year.  They have sat on the side of my desk for months and months .. .. tut tut!!!

If you fancy playing along here is the sketch I followed.

Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Wow!!!  What a lovely Sunday!!

This would do me for Summer.  It doesn't need to be any warmer than this for me .. .. this would be perfect from now until the end of October!  What says you?

Lots of snippets used up this week and to make up for not taking part last Sunday (because we were at the Wedding Fayre) I have made two Christmas cards instead of one.  My Christmas card box is starting to look quite impressive for saying it is only early March!

So here are my makes:

As always on a Sunday I do not list my ingredients but if you have any questions then please ask and I will try my best to answer (no asking for the winning lottery numbers though .. .. I really can't help there).

So all of my makes are making their way to Pixie's Crafty Workshop .. .. Week 115.

and I am also entering the first card into Mrs A's Butterfly Challenge .. .. Week 2.  There was a little recipe going on there and Mrs A wanted to see "at the very least" ..one butterfly, one bow and one button.

.. .. and that is me for today.

Off to go and finish the evening meal off now and then tonight I have promised myself a lovely stroll around blogland to see what everyone has been up to.

Enjoy your evening.

HERE AT LAST!

Hi Everyone

Happy Thursday!  Rubbish weather here today .. .. but we have the promise of a beautiful weekend so something to look forward to there!

Life has been a bit of a blur here in the House of Hearts since the wedding fayre on Sunday.  My feet haven't touch the ground and I still haven't even packed everything away that I took with me .. .. or that I got out to make last minute new samples with!!!  The double bed in the spare bedroom (aka the storage of everything wedding related room) is covered in boxes of samples, rolls of ribbon, card and bling .. .. all waiting to be returned to their rightful place!

The fayre was really busy with lots of interest and lovely new couples to meet.  I love hearing all their plans and ideas .. . no two weddings are ever the same!

I had a lovely surprise last night.  One of my brides called by with some wedding cake and a thank you card. How special was that?  I was really touched that she had thought of me.

I also dipped my hand into the box of images I have already coloured which are patiently sitting waiting to be used .. .. and came up with this:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "1447H" A Gift For You
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat (no longer available)
Backing Papers:  Kaisercraft "Butterfly Kisses"
Spellbinders Nestabilities:  Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle  Large
My Trusty sewing machine
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Glamour Dust
Ribbon

A post from me at last!!  Yay!!

Have a good day everyone.

HAPPY WEEKEND

Hi Everyone

Just calling by to wish you all a lovely weekend!

Sorry I haven't posted any hearts for you to find the last couple of days (or done any blog visiting .. .. tut tut!!!) but it has been super busy here.

Lots of wedding work this week and savvy new couples getting in with appointments and sample requests ahead of the wedding fayre on Sunday. There is still so much I want to pull together before then!!!  My head is buzzing with ideas for new lines and designs but sadly no time to put them to good use just yet.

But there is still tomorrow!!  A whole new bright and sparkly day I can use to make a difference .. .. let's just hope tomorrow lasts for at least 72 hours .. .. which would make February a more normal month with 31 days LOL!!

Have a good one everyone and I will see you soon with a new heart to find  .. .. hopefully!!

Love and weekend hugs

Hi Everyone

A scheduled post from me today as I am nicely up to my neck with wedding ribbons and bling and wanted to hit the ground running  ... .. another head down and get on with it day!!

A fun card  using an image from a new digital place I came across the other day  .. .. I only bought one image just in case I wasn't happy with how they looked once printed out etc.  But they are fabby!!!  I feel sure this Birdbrain character is going to be a regular visitor to my blog .. .I lurv him!!

So a quick and simple card from me as time is short and precious here at the moment:

This used:

Image and Sentiment:  From The Heart:  "Birthday Candle Birdbrain" (the image came with lots and lots of sentiments)
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
X-Cut:  Small Flower Punch

and that is me for today.

Edited to say that my lovely blog buddy Amanda kindly pointed out that the image I had used was the image of the month over at "From The Heart" so my creation can be entered into the Stamp of the Month challenge!  Woo hoo!!  Off I go to enter .. .. and thanks Amanda for letting me know xx.

Have a good day everyone and I hope you find a bit of quiet crafty time for yourself somewhere during the day.
