My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I am hoping to share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce always carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

MERRY BAND

Hi Everyone

I hope you are having a good weekend.

Nothing like as much done today as I would have hoped .. .. but a lovely day all the same (except for the weather!).  I have a happy couple getting married next Saturday and I certainly hope the weather is kinder to them than it has been today.

Just a quick and simple share from me today:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2356K" Merry Band
Sentiment:  Computer Generated using font "Chauncy"
Backing Paper:  Pink Petticoat "Twill Stripe"

and that is it.

I'll be back tomorrow, with my snippets which I am happy to say are already made and waiting to make an appearance.  Must admit I am quite pleased with them this week.

See you then, and in the meantime have yourself a lovely evening.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE - MAY

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday!

Here as promised with my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge for May.

They have asked this month that we use our favourite Penny Black Stamp.

Now that is quite difficult because I love each and every one I own.  So do I go for the Penny Black stamp I ink up the most?  One that can only come out for Christmas makes?

Well, if for some horrible reason I was ever told that I could only keep one of my Penny Black stamps it would be this one .. .. my very first PB stamp .. .. the one that started my PB addiction .. ..

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "1652J" Cheesecake Wish
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat (sorry I think it is one that was removed from the boutique)
Backing Papers:  First Edition "Silent Night"
Cuttlebug:  Flower die
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine
X-Cut Punch:  Tiny Butterfly
Nestabilitites:  Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle
ProMarkers
Diamond Stickles
Buttons from my Stash Box

and that is it!!

Admit it .. .. you thought there would be a hedgehog on my stamp didn't you?  LOL!!!

Enjoy your evening everyone.

DIGISTAMP BOUTIQUE CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

Well what can I say?

Even when I have cards made and ready for posting I am late with them LOL!!!

It has been another lovely day here today with gorgeous sunshine and blossom falling from the trees like confetti!  What a shame it can't stay on the trees for longer :-(

My share today is for taking over to the Digistamp Boutique Challenge for May.

This used:

Image:  Digistamp Boutique "A Little Birdie Told Me"
Sentiment:  Part of the image
Backing Paper:  Digistamp Boutique "Ditsy Rose
Go Kreate Dies:  Large Scalloped Squares
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine
ProMarkers

The birdie download actually comes for you to make your own little scenes along with other cute elements and sentiments - but when time is short I just use the ideas sheet.  Just so quick and cute to colour and the sentiment already sorted for me!!  (Yep, not just Sundays I can be lazy you know LOL!!).

I hope you have had a good Tuesday (which feels like Monday).

Catch you soon with my card for the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.  They want a card made with your favourite Penny Black stamp this month.   Mmmmm... .. .. which one might that be?!?!?  LOL!!!.

Have a lovely evening.

HEDGE DELIVERY!

Hi Everyone

Happy bank holiday Monday!

Hope you are having a lovely day.  I have banned myself from the garden today (other than going backwards and forwards to the washing line) as there is a lot needing to be done in the old craft pod in preparation for a busy week of wedding work.  I have a couple of "happy couples" who will be "tying the knot" in the next two or three weeks so lots of last minute makes that you can't do until the very end.

I am also hoping for a bit of a general cardmaking binge too so that I have a few makes to share with you whilst I am busy tying ribbons.

Here is one of my makes of the day:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3209H" Hedge Delivery!
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Backing Papers:  Dovecraft "Curiosity Corner"
Die-namics "Insert It 3 x 4 Notepad"
Woodware Punch:  Label
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine
ProMarkers
Twine and Ribbon from my Stash Box

I am entering this into My Mum's Craft Shop Challenge 17 where they want to see lots of layers.  I think I have enough of them here to qualify LOL!!!

So that is me for today.  Off to do some more creating.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are having a lovely weekend.

More gardening, and then playing with snippets here today, amongst the normal Sunday chores!  Shame these specials lazy days fly by far to quickly.  I love poddling about doing little jobs that I never seem to get time for during the week.

So, here are my snippet makes for taking over to Pixie's Snippet Playground

No list of ingredients because I am lazy on a Sunday but as always if you need to know where anything came from just let me know.

Short and sweet from me today as kitchen duties are calling.

Enjoy another Bank Holiday tomorrow.  Hasn't it been lovely to have had so many in close succession!!!

SKETCH SATURDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a lovely Saturday.

It was beautiful weather here today .. .. I hope it was for you too!!

I spent some time this morning finalising a table plan design with a couple who are getting married two weeks today .. .. how lovely if the weather could be like today for them .. .. and then this afternoon I was super good and did an hour of digging and weeding with Mr Heart!  I do believe the sun has perhaps caught my face a little as it has a lovely healthy glow feeling to it this evening!!

Can you believe we could even smell a BBQ cooking somewhere nearby .. .. and to be honest it was nice enough to sit out and eat.  It made me feel a bit peckish!!  LOL!!

Anyway, I snatched another sketch today .. .. this time from the Sketch Saturday Challenge.

This used:

Image:  Stampendous! "P107" Agapanthus Cluster
Sentiment:  Docrafts  Happy Birthday in Papyrus (another very old stamp"
Backing Paper:  Pink Petticoat "Gingham" printed in black onto cream cardstock
X-Cut Punch:  Tiny Butterfly
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Diamond Stickles
Glamour Dust
Button and Ribbon from My Stash Box

and here is the sketch I used if you fancy playing along too.

Enjoy what is left of your evening and I'll catch you again tomorrow with my snippets.

SKETCH N STASH

Hi Everyone

Happy Friday .. .. ..  I hope your week has been a good one.

Lots of lovely things crossed of my crafty list .. .. and lots more added too LOL!!

Plenty more birthday cards are needed here so I used the lovely sketch from over at Sketch N Stash to create this:

This used:

Image:  Papermania "PMA 10069" (a very old stamp and sadly no name on it)
Sentiment:  Computer Generated using font "Daniel"
Backing Paper:  Papermania Capsule Collection "Parisienne Blue"
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Nestabilities:  Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle
Crochet Flower (sadly not made by me), brad and ribbon from my Stash Box

Another part of the challenge is to say what new or neglected stash you have used.  Well for me it is the lovely, but neglected, Papermania rubber stamp which I purchased many, many years ago when my cardmaking journey was in its early days.

If you fancy playing along with the challenge then here is the sketch I used:

You just need to stand on your head to see what I did with it LOL!!

Enjoy your Bank Holiday weekend everyone.  I hope the sun shines on you at some stage!

HELLO PRESENT

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday!

I hope your week is going well.

I had a lovely surprise last night.  I was busy trying to get my ironing all up to date and thought it was nearly 10.00pm as I was finishing  .. .. I packed everything away only to discover it was only nearly 9.00pm!! What a lovely surprise that was!!  A whole extra hour that I didn't think I had!

Now why can't that happen with days too?  Why do I never think it is Wednesday .. .. but suddenly discover it is Tuesday?  LOL!!!

Anyway, there is definitely a birthday card shortage here in the House of Hearts so I need to make some super fast ones .. .. nothing complicated .. .. just cute and nice to give:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2178J" Hello Present
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat "Tiny Celebration Sentiments"
Backing Papers:  Kaisercraft "Key to My Heart"
Go Kreate Dies:  Large Frames Scalloped Squares
ProMarkers
Diamond Stickles
Ribbon and Pearlsw from my Stash Box

and that is me for today.

Table plan planning, place names and favour boxes are top of the list today so off I scoot!!!

Catch you again soon .. .. hopefully.

RUDOLPH DAY CHALLENGE - APRIL

Hi Everyone

Happy Monday!!

The start of a whole new week!!  Woo hoo!!

Mr Heart is off work today and is sorting out the greenhouse ready for this year's crops to be started off .. .. and I just know he is wanting me to be out there with him .. ..but the world of weddings cannot stop just because Mr Heart has a day off!!!  Too much pretty work to be done to get my hands and nails all filthy dirty!!!

Anyway, two more Christmas cards finished and ready for putting into the stock boxes and also for taking over to Sandra's Rudolph Day Challenge.

I had a little panic when I first saw Sandra's lovely makes for this month. I thought she had "upped the anti" and we were having to make four cards this month!!  But no .. .. a minimum of two was fine .. .. so here are mine .. ..

These used:

Image:  Stampendous "CRR143" Snowy Postcard
Sentiment:  Hobby Art "CS010D" Town House Scene-its
Backing Paper:  Dovecraft "Noel"
X-Cut Corner Rounding Punch
Distress Inks
Gold Embossing Powder
Glamour Dust
Ribbon from my stash box

and that is me.

Two days of posting!!  Can't be bad!!!  Though it would appear I gave a few of you torture with one of the hearts yesterday.

It was certainly there .. ..

easy when you know isn't it!!! LOL!!!

Enjoy today.  I hope it is a good day for you.
