The Bank Holiday Weekend start here .. .. Yeah!!

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a good week and are ready for the lovely long weekend!!!! .. .. .. I sure am!! .. .. .. I hope I can sleep in a bit over the break without waking up "mega excited about everything" as I usually do.

I just love Friday nights!

My hubby always cooks on Friday nights and makes us both fish, chips (made from "real" potatoes"), potato fritters and mushy peas - and I craft whilst he cooks!! Lucky me.

I look forward to Friday night all week. (Very naughty to wish my life away but I live for the weekend when I can craft for England).

So my crafty session tonight created:

This card has been made using:

Background papers - Pink Petticoat
Image - Sugar Nellie "Daisy" (part of an image swap from my bloggy mate Jackie xx)
Ribbon - Celebration (so much on this reel it is unbelievable)
Woodware Punch - Multi Sunflower
Punch
Fiskars Threading Water
Brads and gems from my stash box

Hopefully my photograph is good enough to show that this is a card where I chopped the "front face" in half prior to mounting the image.

I coloured the image with promarkers and then chalked gently around the image - though this may not show up too well.

I am really pleased with this card. Quite a different one for me - which is why I think image swaps are great fun. The swap hasn't stopped me wanting to buy the image - in fact it has made me "want" to buy it (thanks again Jackie for spending my money - I would struggle to know what to spend my crafty allowance on without you!! LOL!!!)

Little Daisy is so sweet. I wonder if I ever looked that sweet and innocent .. .. .. I doubt it somehow.

Catch you all again over the weekend with my Penny Black Challenge entry .. .. .. .. whatever that may be!!!

Oh I am so excited about a Bank Holiday weekend - so much I want to do. Why don't we have Bank Holiday weeks??????? Would anyone join in a petition if I started one??!!!?!?

Catch you tomorrow and thanks for calling by.

Love Jules xx

  1. Oh Jules, this is so pretty. I love Daisy, she's such a delightful little image - and perfect for you (at least I knew where to look this time)! I really like the way you've shaped the mount and the card front too. Have a great weekend, I'll be back to see what else you've been creating. Hugs, Nicki, xx.

  9. Love this card Jules, I like that it's half at the front. I want this stamp so much, so I went to Funky Kits website to buy it on Saturday and was so disappointed to find it wasn't there any more! You've coloured her in beautifully.
