WE ARE HAVING PANCAKES

Hi Everyone

Just a quick make that I have put together whilst doing other things .. .. more of which I will tell you about later.

So what else have I been doing besides making my share of the day?

Well quite a bit of it has involved making pancake batter .. .. ready for our pancake eating competition tonight.

As a mad family we always meet up for one day a year for our annual pancake competition.  It is never the same time every year because there are so many of us to gather together .. .. and some have very busy lives.

The competition involves seeing who can eat the most pancakes .. .. and the winner gets to keep a trophy until the next time the competition takes place.

So there is a vulgar amount of batter waiting to be made into a vulgar amount of pancakes.

There are eleven people taking part .. .. I wonder how many pancakes we will have to make this year.  The record so far is 152 in total .. .. we are starting a bit later in the day than normal so we might end up making even more this year!!!

Mmmm... I am getting hungry!!!  Just waiting for my lovely Sis to land .. .. she is desperate to win this year .. .. she can picture the trophy on her new bookcases!!!

    Oh my 152 pancakes !!!!! If I were there though I would win, I absolutely love pancakes, do you make sweet and savory ????.

    This made me laugh because we like pancakes - especially my two sons - but usually only have them on Shrove Tuesday. Each year I remind no 1 son of the year he ate 15, think he was only about 8 at the time. This is still a family record as he hasn't come even close to this many since. Happy Pancake Eating!

    I think your family traditions are brilliant ... not mad at all! The family that eats pancakes together, stays together :) BTW, nice card - love those nail head thingies ... seen you use them often and think I might just keep a look out for them at the SECC this month.     Such a lot of pancakes!! I make them every morning for my grandaughter, she just loves them. What a lovely idea though, good luck to your sister!!
