WORK IN PROGRESS COMPLETE !

Hi Everyone

Hope your weekend is good!

Ours started off with really bright sunshine so we got some garden chairs out of hibernation this morning .. .. brushed off all the spiders and cobwebs with the intention of sitting out on them in the sunshine later (before the summer disappears).

So what happens?

The sunshine has got shy and hidden itself behind the clouds and it is looking like everything is going to be put back unused :-(   .. .. typical!

But at least I finished my little work in progress offering from last night.

I was a little worried about being able to get onto the internet today.  I managed a quick catch up with a few blogs early this morning with my coffee and then .. ... kaput .. .. dead as a doornail for hours!!

But all is good again now .. .. so here is my finished offering:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3865K" Gossamer
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Papers:  Nitwits "Potting Shed Too"
Nestabilities:  Ovals and Scalloped Ovals
My Trust Sewing Machine
Diamond Stickles
Ribbons and beads from the Stash Box

I told you it would probably end up floral .. .. LOL!!!

I was asked this morning whether I glue my papers down before I stitch them.

All I do is put a small piece of double sided tape in the centre of the piece I want to stitch just to get things square and hold then in place .. .. but nowhere near where my stitches will be.

If you have double sided tape or glue where you want to stitch it wouldn't do your sewing machine any good as the needle would be going through the glue and the needle would end up super sticky along with your cotton  .. .. and probably your shuttle case too.  A bit of a recipe for disaster really.

Well it is now getting even duller outside and someone has just started up a BBQ as I can smell the fluid folk use to get them going (cough, cough) .. .. I somehow don't think we will be sitting out this evening.  I think I will just do a bit of colouring ready for my baby boy's birthday card instead.

Enjoy the rest of the day everyone and I'll see you tomorrow with my snippet make.

Love
