LONE BIRD

Hi Everyone

Happy Monday?

Hope your week has got off to a good start.

Mine has been a day of table plans, place-names and new enquiries  .. ..  thank goodness that whilst Mr Heart was away last week I managed to get a nice stock of cards together to share with you because I have a sneaky feeling there aren't going to be many general cards made in February!

This one was made last week:

and used:

Stamps for the background:
Hero Arts:  Leaf Impressions "N2091" Mountain Aspen
Elusive Images:  "32531" Script Background

Bird Image
Stampendous "CRV237" Cling Lone Bird

Sentiment:
Stampendous "CRH293" A Bird Sings

Cuttlebug Dies:  2x2 Die Set "Asterisks"
Distress Inks:  Frayed Burlap, Tea Die, Old Paper and Bundled Sage
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Nestabilties:  Oval and Scalloped Oval
Ribbon and Cord from my Stash Box

A bit of a long list for me!!!

Now round to my snooker card that I posted on Saturday evening.

I received a few questions asking about the little cue and rack of balls I had made.

The cue was made by snapping a wooden kebab stick to length and then shaping the end with an emery board.  I then coloured it using various ProMarkers.

The rack of balls was made by sticking flat-backed pearls into a triangle shape onto card.  I then cut around the card close to the pearls and using Glossy Accents stuck a very narrow piece of kraft coloured card around them .. .. wrapping it round a couple of times.  Once this had taken hold I stuck everything onto a second piece of card and when it was dry cut around the outside carefully so none of the base card was showing.

Using Glossy Accents for all the gluing meant that is was all well sturdy for sticking onto the card front. I hope that makes sense.

I must admit that had I got any red beads I would probably have used those instead of the pearls .. .. but I hadn't so that was that!

So this is me for today .. .. late again!!!

Love

  18. It's always a super treat to come for a lovely cuppa and a long visit, Jules. I assume you aren't making as many cards with all your wedding work, but then when I do pop over there is a veritable feast of cards to fill me up!! That pool table card was particularly stunning, so thanks for sharing how you did that!

You never cease to inspire me!! Have a great week Hugs, Darnell
