AS YOU LIKE IT CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

I hope you have had a good day.

Once home from Mum's hubby and I went for a walk and then it was back to my craft pod for a bit of a play.  Normally I have something in mind I want to make before I even sit down, but today has been quite busy and I haven't had chance to let my mind wander to crafting at all.

So for me the easiest thing, when I don't have something planned that I want to make, is to grab one of my sketches as that takes away loads of the thinking!

This is what I created:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3205H" Sunshine Hedge
Sentiment:  LOTV
Backing Papers:  First Edition Paper "Blank Canvass"
Corner Rounding Punch
ProMarkers
Ribbon and Cord
My Trusty Sewing Machine

and this is the sketch I used.  Number Forty Eight from my sketch vault which you can find along with others on the tab at the top of my blog.  If anyone would like to use any of them then please feel free to have fun with them.

I am entering my card into the As You Like It Challenge where the theme this fortnight is to show your favourite way to add ribbon to your project and state why.

This was an easy choice for me as I simply love tying ribbon bows and adding a sentiment to them.  I know it bulks the card up when it comes to postage but not every card goes through the post.  Some you are able to simply "hand deliver" .. .. but then again some people are special enough to warrant spending a little more on the postage anyway.

So that is me for today.  I'll catch you again tomorrow.

  11. This is a gorgeous card Jules, I love your sketches too. Just need to use them more often and get better at mixing papers! lol You are so good at it. The image is just darling and I too love bows on cards. I do love the way you hang a tag off the bow with the sentiment on it, so pretty and well....just special! You are right, not all cards have to be mailed, some can be hand delivered.....but there is always that special someone that it is worth posting it to them and paying extra. Hugs, Brenda
