THE NEXT LEVEL - CHALLENGE 1

Hi Everyone

Beautiful weather here .. .. as in it is lashing it down with rain. This means I can play indoors with my craft goodies and I don't have to feel guilty about not gardening and don't have to water what I planted last week!!!

I am back with another challenge card.

This one I just "had" to do because I wanted to try making a "lollipop flower".

There were two compulsory elements to the challenge. Firstly to have an aperture/opening on the front of your card and the second being to use your own hand made faux lollipop flower or flowers.

Here is my creation

This used:

Papers all came from the DCWV "Old World Stack"
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
Acetate to back my aperture
Dovecraft Brads
Sewing machine
Diamond Stickles

I loved making the lollipop flower and just know I will be making more of them. I was supposed to have used Gesso or watered down white emulsion paint on the edges of my flower but because I didn't have either I used white correction fluid.

If you haven't been and looked at The Next Level yet then make sure you do. It is like an on-line magazine that is just crammed full of useful information - including full instructions on making the lollipop flowers.

Good news too .. .. .. my car has just passed its MOT. Yay!!!

Enjoy your weekend everyone - whatever you are doing.

Thanks for calling by.

Love Jules xx

  17. Another gorgeous card, I have had a go at making those flowers but not with so many layers. It does look very effective with extra layers and the white edge, good idea with the correction fluid.
