BET YOU THINK YOU ARE ON THE WRONG BLOG!

Good morning all

I bet you will think you are on the wrong blog today as I share my favourite make from yesterday. Not my normal style - but there is definitely going to be more it. Just totally loving this .. .. and I was so keen to show it off that I nearly posted it last night LOL!!

But I hung back and here it is now:
This used:

Stamps for flower, leaves and sentiment: PaperArtsy "HP1004EZ"
Tim Holtz Alterations Sizzix Die: "656635" Fanciful Flight
Backing Papers: Memory Store
Papermania: Dew Drops
Woodware flower punch for the black centre of the flower
Brad from the stash box

Edited to say that the stamping was done using a Versafine Onyx Black Ink Pad

These are the first PaperArtsy stamps I have used and I can honestly say I have never used such beautiful stamps. They are simply gorgeous and they stamped perfectly first time.

I love the flower very much. I stamped and cut it out and then wet it, screwed it up and dried it with my heat gun.

It would be fantastic if I could think of some way of making this out of fabric so that I could wear it on a jacket. But it would need to stay scrunched up like it is on the card.

My background paper already came with the green images on it .. .. I haven't stamped those.

I will need to see what else I can create using the other stamps that came with the set now.

Have a good day everyone and thank you for calling by.

Love Jules xx

  4. Jules love it.. Loving the flower and the colours work really well. Your right it would look good made from fabric but not sure how you would do it. ( starch, pva glue or varnish would make it hard to stop it from losing its shape!!)

I love the colours and the whole feel of the card is very much up my street. Glad you say you are going to some more because the style is devine.

I am thinking this all comes from that little bag of goodies in your booth the other day ?

  9. A really different style for you Jules, but I love it. That scrunched flower is gorgeous and I love all the images on it. I've shied away from the dragonfly die 'cos I couldn't think how I'd use it, but it looks great doesn't it and that BP works so well.
Hope you have a lovely weekend, the sun seems to have deserted us this morning and we've got rain, just typical when I've got washing to hang out!!

  15. Wow, this is fantastic! I love that flower and it would be wonderful as a brooch. I think if you used something like calico and some spray on fabric stiffener you could get the shape to stay put, but I'm not sure how to fit the stamping into the equation

  19. Jules, this is gorgeous. Those stamps are just brilliant aren't they and I love the Tim Holtz/Sizzix butterfly. I have about 7 of that range of dies (bought 2 more from Graphicus today after a fab inky workshop).

Your repertoire of styles is growing and you are brilliant at them all.
