Well I hope that the weekend has been lovely for you. Quite a mixed bag of weather but today has been gorgeous (once the rain fizzled out).
Thankfully I haven't had all the hassle with my computer that I had last Sunday and I should be OK to have my blogland catch up this evening. Can't wait to see what you have all been up to.
My wedding fayre preparations are coming along really well .. .. which is a good job as the fayre is next week!! In fact this time next week it will nearly be over!! I still have some samples and the "handout" wording to finalise and a huge table plan to make so plenty to be going at.
I was up bright and early as my head was buzzing with ideas so I played with my snippets for a couple of hours and I kept making "don't forget" notes whilst I was playing ahead of last minute shopping and supplies for next weekend.
Today I have been able to pick up a lovely table top easel for putting my sample table plan onto .. .. so I have all the gear now .. .. just need to make the sample.
Anyway, Sunday means Snippets so what have I come up with this time.

Eyelet, ribbon, thread and brads from the Stash Box (love the teeny tiny little eyelet on the label .. .. it is my favourite part of this card. LOL!!!
I was hoping to have made four little creations today but unfortunately the first one took me longer than I anticipated and time is a bit precious at the moment so I had to call it a halt at three.
The weirdest thing is if I was to take off every piece of card or paper and line it all up I bet I still haven't used two sheets of A4 paper in total. These snippets go a long, long, long way!!! LOL!!!
The weirdest thing is if I was to take off every piece of card or paper and line it all up I bet I still haven't used two sheets of A4 paper in total. These snippets go a long, long, long way!!! LOL!!!
Love all of my creations this week but I think the first might be my favourite .. .. just because I enjoyed using my sewing machine on it.
So how have snippets been being used in the rest of blogland?
The inspiration for my first card came from Helen who you can find here. I just love Helen's background and the gorgeous colours of her papers and flowers and she was more than happy for me to share her inspiration and her make with you. Thank you Helen.
Next, my blog buddy Juls dipped into her snippets .. .. and made two brilliant cards. It is amazing all the different styles that are appearing. Juls is very imaginative and you will find her fabby makes here. Such gorgeous colours and inspiring makes.
Then along came my lovely DIL Cat who is being good and using up her snippets too on her wonderful creation. Loving the colouring of the image and the paper snippet colours on this one very much. Not sure I would have been able to do such a brilliant make at "daft o'clock" LOL!!! Cat's great make is here.
One of my regular "snippeters" .. .. tee hee think I like that name .. .. had a wealth of lovely creations to show this week. Carole, who frequently takes part has a gorgeous array of cards and gift cards .. (now there is another idea!!!). Great inspiration and you can find Carole's lovely makes here.
Then snippet Sunday just wouldn't be the same without a share from Annmaree. How super fantastically cool is the card Annmaree has made with her snippets. I would love to be sending cards like this come Christmas as I think it is gorgeous. Prepare for a lovely treat here.
Wow so much inspiration for us all in using up our snippets.
As a few people are enjoying playing along with this little theme I thought I would add Mr Linky to my post each Sunday as I am a bit worried that I might miss adding someone's snippet creation. It will start as I post on Sunday and expire on Saturday at midnight. If Mr Linky disappears then simply leave a comment on here.
So if you make a creation using your snippets that you would like to share then simply add your link below .. .. then everyone can visit everyone else for some inspiration on what to do with those small pieces of paper we can't bear to throw away.
After all the fewer snippets we have the more space we have for new stash LOL!!!
Right .. .. off on kitchen duty and this evening I am treating myself to a lovely blog hop session.
Love
I love all three but especially the second one. The colours and design are fab. Good luck with the preparations for the wedding fayre next week.

I have just spent about 1 and 1/2 hours making my snippet card using 1/4 inch pieces I have saved. Yes I can honestly say I have been saving this size of pieces. I think I need to get a life and throw them away in future. LOL
ReplyDeleteHopefully I will post tomorrow - the light has gone now and there is still a sentiment to find!!!
The first card of yours has to be my favourite too as that is a much loved combo.
Glad you got around to doing a Linky thing.
x Tricia
Gorgeous creations this week Jules. I do like all the stitching on the first one.
ReplyDeleteGood idea using Mr Linky
More brilliant snippet cards Jules! How do you come up with all the different styles? Very inspiring :)
ReplyDeleteKelly.x
How do you do it Jules? These are all amazing and love how they're made out of scraps. My fave is the first although I do love them all, It's the stitching that clinched it. I must really give it a good go. I do have a machine but not given it a good go. This has inspired me though as I love the effect. Mmm! fewer snippets more new stash, now that sounds like a plan. hehe!
