Hi Everyone
Sorry but I am a bit late today.
We stayed a bit longer working in the garden today as we actually felt we were finally getting somewhere .. .. once you can nearly see the end it spurs you on doesn't it!!
So after the gardening stint and baths to relax our aching bones we ate and then went off to the tip again and then to a local nursery and a local DIY store for some ideas on what to do with the area of land we have uncovered. Oh for a bottomless pocket when it comes to home improvements and crafty stash!!!
Time just disappeared looking around .. .. .. as it does!!
But I did get a good photograph of a cushion cover that will make for a good snippet card on Sunday and great colour combinations in the decorating section for some "unusual" wedding stationery. Sometimes I just wish I could switch my brain off LOL!!!
Anyway, here at last is tonight's creation:
This used:
Image: Hero Arts "F3255" Showy Blossom
Sentiment: Woodware Clear Stamps "FRCL 128" Circular Greetings
Backing Papers: Aimee Asher
Martha Stewart Punch: Embossed Zig Zag
Whispers Pens for drawing on the image and sentiment prior to stamping
Ribbons from the stash box and a bit of home made card candy
I do hope you thought it was worth waiting for LOL!!
A few people have contacted me about how I did the background for my card last night and on my snippet make on Sunday.
No brayering involved .. .. that is not a technique I have mastered yet!!
I simply used cut and dry blending foam and applied three separate distress ink colours .. .. overlapping them slightly. On Sunday's I used post it notes to make a frame but last night I just went for it and then trimmed my card to a decent shape for what I wanted to use. Hope this helps.
Sorry if I haven't arrived at your blog recently .. .. hubby being on holiday and all this gardening is playing havoc with my routine!! Sorry!! I will get there eventually.
Love
Well it certainly looked brayered.
