PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

A bit earlier post today as we are meeting up with friends for a Chinese meal tonight.

Last week I ran out of time to join in one of my favourite challenges .. .. The Penny Black Saturday Challenge.. ..  so I decided to play along "nice and early" this week.

The theme is to use your Penny Black stamps for making a background.  Not something I have done before .. .. but I will be doing it again.

Here is my make

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3868J" Portraits
Sentiment:  Penny Black "2908F" ...To You
Martha Stewart Punch:  Doily Lace
Nestabilities:  Scalloped Ovals (thanks Carole xx)
Woodware Punch:  Daisies
Leone Em Pty Punch:  Ash Branch
AquaMarkers
ProMarkers (using the new fine nib attachments  -  thanks Di xx)
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and brads from the Stash Box

and that is the entry from The House of Hearts!!  LOL!!

Today has been very warm, bright and beautiful .. .. and when I look out of the window on a Saturday morning I always look at the weather to consider what it is going to be like for any lovey dovey couples who may be getting married.

Hubby asked what the weather was doing and I burst into song and sang "It a great day for a white wedding" .. .. oh I must be so annoying to live with!!!!   LOL!!!

The saddest part is that song has been in my head all day and I can't stop singing it!!

OK .. so that is me for today.  Back tomorrow with the snippet register .. .. .. and how many playmates joined in the fun this week .. .. loads, and loads and loads!!!!

See you soon....

Love

  18. Lots of recent sweet creations, Jules. When I arrived here I was thinking I know that DP but I was also thinking I don't recognise the colour and then I read your post and realised it is the stamp I am recognising and not the DP. Looks absolutely fabulous and I agree with you - a splendid idea! Hugs, Lesley

  19. Well, what a fantastic background you made. Who needs DP?! What's annoying about singing a line from a song as an answer? We do it all the time in our house! (Oh dear, does that mean we're annoying too...?!) Vx

  22. Jules, what a gorgeous bright creation, love the colour combo and such a fab idea for a background, I normally reach straight for the patterned paper but might try this instead, of course this does mean new sheets of paper not snippets though lol.
