What a lovely day it has been weatherwise today. The garden certainly needed a good drink this morning and will need another one tonight too!!
Just a quick share tonight that features not only my own snippets in the form of all the papers used on this creation but also some of my lovely Sister's snippets in the form of the lace for the flower. I have paper snippets she has fabric ones!! LOL!!!
This was some of what we were up to on Saturday. Cutting fabric with Sizzix Dies and Nestabilities to see what we could create. What great time we had!!
Here is my share for today .. .. and everything has been torn .. .. the only straight edges being ones that were already there. So that's a relief to know .. .. if I ever lose my scissors and guillotine I will still be able to make cards LOL!!!
This used:
Backing Papers: Memory Stor
Sentiment: Penny Black "Critter Party"
Brilliance Ink Pad: Pearlescent Beige
Nestabilities: Scalloped Circle
Ribbon, lace, ric-rak and buttons from the stash box
A bit different for me .. .. but I like to ring the changes and try new things.
I'll catch you again tomorrow.
Love

Excellent card! Very interesting idea too - having everything torn. Blimey woman, haven't you got enough of your OWN snippets to use up without starting on your SISTER'S??? Or did she do you a swap? LOL!

ReplyDeleteHi Jules, it is indeed different but very effective. The lace flowers are really pretty & the colour combo is nice & restful to the eye. I like to try out new things occasionally as well, just to see what happens.

How many variations on 'WOW! This is fabulous!' are there in the English language? Only Shakespeare could invent the right variations, I think lol!!!
ReplyDeleteFab subtle colours, and FANTASTIC lacey flowers. All that delicate texture - so chic!

Lovely card Jules, like the shabby chicness (is that a word) look of it. I've been sorting through my snippets and I got to wondering exactly what size are the bits you are using - how small is the smallest, how large is the largest - I've got some quite large pieces left over from other projects. And, also, what size do you usually make your snippet cards - it's hard to tell from the photos as they always look enormous on my screen :) Elizabeth x
ReplyDeletei love this, it has such a gorgeous shabby chic look to it!! Hugs Juls
