TULIPS

Hi Everyone

I hope you have had a great day.

The weather was lovely here for my "happy couple" who got married today .. .. though a tad chilly for standing around in dresses with no sleeves (that would be the bride and bridesmaids .. .. not me!!!).

The service was beautiful and the church was filled with candles placed on nearly every little ledge or shelf you could see.  All very romantic and the bride and groom looked so lovely.

They were a lovely young couple and I have to admit to having a few little tears as it was all so special!

But after the service it was a case of taking a few photographs and then heading home to get cracking on other wedding projects and then a little play with some more of my goodies from the NEC yesterday.

This used:

Image:  Imagination Crafts"Tulip"
Sentiment:  Lili of the Valley
Backing papers:  Wild Rose Studio "for the gingham" and Aimee Asher "for the white crackle card"
Nestabilities
ProMarkers
Glamour Dust
Ribbon and Pearls from the Stash Box

and that is me for tonight.

I have to admit to feeling much better than I did this time last night.

I was well and truly shattered after the NEC and fell asleep on the settee after my bath  .. ..  no matter how many times my hubby nudged me I just couldn't stay awake .. .. LOL!!!

I wonder if I will manage a "lie-in" in the morning?  I somehow doubt it!!

Just for one day I would love to wake up and not feel the urge to dash out of bed and get cracking!!  It is hard being hyper-active you know!!!  LOL!!!

Have a good evening and a good weekend everyone.

Love

  3. Do hope you get that lie in tomorrow, but the light mornings and lovely weather at the moment do make you want to be up and at it as it seems such a waste to lie in bed. I love the card and wish I could come up with things like this but I do really struggle with my colour combo's. Oh well practice, practice, practice. I've not gone to the NEC this year as just haven't got the pennies to spare and there is no way I could resist buying just a few things that I didn't know I needed but can't live without so best that I stay away lol.
    Have a wonderful weekend Jules

  26. I have missed so much of your work this weekend. For the first time so far I am completely stumped where the heart is?!?! Am I blind? The crackle card is brilliant! And I really like the bright red to contrast with the soft pastel blues. Really beautiful xx

  27. Gorgeous card. So lovely and fresh - I love how you've coloured this one in. It looks so crisp and clean.

I know what you mean about being hyper-active, I have to be restrained once in a while lol lol (wishful thinking lol).

Sounds like you had a very busy session at the NEC - hope you spent up!!!
