EARLY BIRD TODAY

Hi Everyone

Just for a change I am nice and early with my share today .. .. but only because I need to set up a big job and get cracking with it.

I actually did the background work to this last night so that my hands had time to work themselves clean before I started touching wedding stationery today.  I don't think my brides would be happy for alcohol ink splodges and smudges to suddenly make an appearance on their invitations!!!  Eeeekk

So here is my share:

This used:

Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Sizzix Die:  "656640" Tattered Florals
Adirondack Alcohol Ink:  Currant, Eggplant and Copper
Distress Ink:  Dusty Concord
Acetate
Clear Embossing Powder for the flower
My Trust Sewing Machine
Buttons, Threads, Feather, Cord, Wire and Eyelets from the Stash Box

This is the first time I have used my alcohol inks on acetate.  I have used them on foil and buttons etc but I quite like the look of it on acetate.  This is where my inspiration came from in case you fancy having a play.  Probably very basic stuff to a lot of you hardened crafters .. .. but I still have loads to learn and I am enjoying finding new techniques and trying them out when I find the odd spare minute to have a play.

I am entering this into The Papertake Weekly Challenge this week where they would like to see sewing on your project.  Be this "real" or "faux" and also into Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge .. .. as this creation was made with my snippets .. .. only a few granted .. ..  but every little snippet used helps in the grand scheme of things   LOL!!!

Hope you are having a good day.

Thanks for calling by and I'll catch you again tomorrow .. .. time for me to settle down into that big job now!!!

Love

  4. Fabulous! I have 4 bottles of inks I've never opened - they scare me! (Had them at least 2 years) and I find Tim's projects look muddy.... Yours reminds me of marbling inks we used to do at school in a tray of water and I love the effect so I may just open the bottles and have a go!

  15. Your alcohol inks look great, they make gorgeous panels, I've never thought of using them like that.
You've made me smile twice today, it struck me I'd be no good at wedding stationary, I make a terrible mess just making simple cards and am forever cutting the backs off them and remounting 'cos of all the ink smudges, even when I've tried to keep them clean.
My second smile was when I was making said simple card and the main image looked just too plain and I was wracking my brains what to do and then I thought of your stitching borders and problem solved so thanks for that.
It's been perfect crafting weather today hasn't it, I can't remember such a wet day for ages.
I hope your big job goes OK.
    Hugs Lisax
