PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday.

I hope your day is going well.

Another busy one here in the House of Hearts .. .. and one where I have today taken a huge weight off my shoulders and resigned myself to the fact that no-one will be getting handmade cards from me this year .. .. I just don't have time to make them amongst the wedding work and orders I need to complete before Christmas .. .. so it will be charity cards supporting our local Hospice from me this year. Phew!!!  Pleased that decision is made and strangely enough I don't feel guilty!

But I am still making Christmas cards for my lovely customers and here is one of my favourites from today:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3741K" Filigree Tree
Sentiment:  Lili of the Valley "Christmas Sentiment Tags"
Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat "Twas the Night .. ..  Script" overprinted with "Scandi Chic Snowflake" and "Pinstripes"
Distress Ink:  Old Paper
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Josy Rose:  Gems and Nail Head
Eyelet and ribbons from my stash box

I am going to take this over to the Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme is "Christmas" .. .. that was handy!!!  LOL!!!

So that is me for today.

A mammoth cutting out session is planned for tonight and tomorrow .. .. so my snippets are going to increase still further with all those offcuts that I simply can't put into the bin!!!!  LOL!!!

Have a good evening everyone.

I'll catch you when I do.

Love

  2. Beautiful card Jules and I don't blame you heading to the charity cards. I've made all mine but then I do feel I'm diddling the charities at Christmas so may have a rethink next year. Also postage is so high that I had to do a batch of 'non-sticky-up' to avoid the large letter prices and I don't like those as much. Good luck with your cutting session. xx

  4. Hi, Jules, I'm so sorry I've been MIA recently - but now I've abandoned the ironing I can have a good browse of your blog!

I'm glad you've decided to buy cards this year - it's so easy to overdo it and panic. Besides, cards bought from charities help support them, which is good!

Finally onto your card - love it to bits! I always enjoy seeing what you do with this gorgeous stamp! I love the subtle patterns of the overprinted PP paper, too!

    Have a good evening!

    much love, Mags B x
