SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Happy Sunday!

I hope you are having a lovely day.

I am being super brave and sharing a New Year Resolution here today in the hope that writing it down will make it happen!

Every year I regret not having made enough Christmas cards in the build up to Christmas, and I end up making them in a mad rush (or not at all).  So I am starting really early and this year Sunday snippets "have to consist of at least two makes" and a least one of them has to be a Christmas card.  Those are my new self inflicted rules.

So it will mean I am using up double the number of snippets and getting my Christmas card collection growing too .. .. win, win!!!  I know it will feel strange come the height of summer .. .. but hopefully by then it will just be a habit I am into.

So here we go with my first two snippet makes for 2014 .. .. all ready for taking over to share with my lovely snippet playmates in Pixie's Snippet Playground Challenge:

I am still going to be lazy on a Sunday though and not list my ingredients.  It saves me having to work out and list where all my paper snippets originated from LOL!!

Rather a lot to do today here in the House of Hearts so I am going to fly .. .. ..  but hopefully I will be able to have a bit of a blog catch up this evening.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Love

  6. Two lovely cards Jules, and I think the idea of making Xmas cards will grow on you :-). I know I usually make a load in April when I return home as Bill's auntie love to get a bunch for her birthday.... Helps her plan how many she needs to buy that year and at almost 90 she sends a lot - around 160!!!!!

  20. I love your two gorgeous cards. One thing I'm noticing about Christmas cards this time of year is they are taking a step back from the traditional colors and images and I really appreciate that. Great cards and great idea to impose one Christmas card a week on yourself. I started making some too but am not sure how long I will keep up with it. The Christmas stash is kept in a big bin and I'm getting tried of moving it about the living room and seeing it. It might need to go hide back in its closet for awhile.

  26. Wow, Jules, as usual you layouts and papers and colours look wonderful! I apologise for being such a bad blogger and not visiting much recently, it's been a bit frantic chez moi, but hopefully life has returned to normal! Thanks so much for the comments you leave on my blog, I know you're very busy and I appreciate them very much! Happy New year!

  27. I think that's a wonderful resolution! I can't wait to see your Christmas makes in July because the snowy scenes will help me make it through the heat of summer!! ;-)

  28. Oh, my word but my Playground mates are an inspiring lot. I'm making my visits and you not only have TWO cards to share in one post, one of them is a Christmas card!! That makes the third one already I've seen!!

These are both so you, Jules, and so stunning in every detail! I adore your work. I think it will be awesome to have one non-Christmas card and one Christmas card in the same post and I may adopt your idea myself now and then. It may not seem so odd to post a Christmas card in August if there is also a summer card alongside. You're a genius!

I hope you have a wonderful new year!! Hugs, Darnell
