I hope you are all well.
Wasn't it lovely to have that extra hour? It seemed to make yesterday a lovely long day. Long enough for me to trawl through all my Pink Petticoat downloads and make sure I wasn't going to be missing anything when the boutique doors are closed and locked at the end of the month .. .. boo hoo!!!
Today I thought I would share with you some of my favourite cards that I produced for this month's Quick Cards Made Easy magazine which has now hit the shops.
One of my projects was to work with acetate and here are a couple of the creations:
This last one has tissue paper stuck to the back of the embossed acetate to give an opaque look and take the glare away from the little battery operated candle inside .. .. which you can just about make out from the photograph. Don't look too hard for the heart on this one . . . it was a sequin heart on one of the other oval windows.
Then for one of the other projects I really enjoyed myself painting this lovely gold embossed image with my water colour crayons.
So that is me for today.
I am hopeful of actually being able to produce a teeny, tiny card for tomorrow!! Woo hoo!! Wonders will never cease.
Catch you soon.
Love
A gorgeous selection of cards Jules. Love your designs.

Oooo what a lovely collection and i must confess i don't use acetate that often, but your fabby cards, have inspired me to use it more, Luv Sam x
ReplyDeleteWell the first card is a stunner and that baubles looks real, found the heart.
ReplyDeleteI am afraid you have lost me on the second one, can't see a candle or heart anywhere.
The third one is so rich and classy and I can see the heart.
Have a good week.

Great cards Jules, love the pretty colours you have used on the first. Funnily enough I did the very same thing with my extra hour AND I added one or two (ahem...seven) more sets to my PP collection :0(
ReplyDeleteOooo fabulous makes Jules and that bauble on the first card looks so 3D! Love all your cards and so enjoy stopping by your blog. Have a good week xx
ReplyDeleteAll lovely cards, Jules. I'll have to buy the magazine to find out how they were made. I have been looking for new ideas for using acetate. The bird is beautifully coloured and I love the berry embellishment. Hugs, Elizabeth xx
ReplyDeleteAll very beautiful! Your alternative Christmas colours are lovely! The extra hour was especially good here as Meg came home for the weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHi Jules
ReplyDeleteGorgeous cards. Really loving the first one.
Thanks for popping by my blog and leaving such a lovely comment. It is much appreciated.
I know just what you mean about having no time. What with my daughters wedding in June and returning to work full time I seem to have had no time at all.
