MONDAY'S MALE

Hi Everyone

Happy Monday!

I hope everyone is well and keeping all the lurgy germs at bay!  Nearly every other person you speak to seems to be full of cold at the moment!!

A post today with a project I made for entering into the CAS Watercolour Card Challenge for October.  This is the first month of a sparkly new challenge and one I fancied playing along with as I do love dabbling with watercolours, but don't get around to it very often.

The theme this month is Autumn.

So here is my creation which I made with the intention of it being for a male .. .. but to be fair, now it is finished,  I think it would be suitable for a male or a female.

This used:

Image:  Stampendous! "N136" Leafy Block
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
My Winsor & Newton watercolour paint palette
Josy Rose Nail Heads
Twine
My Trusty Sewing Machine

Once I had added the lines of watercolour I re-wet the centre and dabbed it with a paper towel which soaked up the water and left behind that lovely dotty pattern which I really liked.

I am also going to enter my creation into the CAS Mix Up Card Challenge where the theme is "ghosting" along with my choice of an additional element from the list provided .. .. which is "stitching".

So that is me for today.

Back to keeping my brides happy and I will see you again soon hopefully!!!!

Love

  5. Fantastic design Jules. The colours are so beautiful, and your "ghosting" of the center area to that your text and leaves pop is so clever and creative. Great touchs with sewing and twine. Thanks for sharing with us at CAS Watercolour. It's always a very creative way of "ghosting", which is the CAS Mix Up challenge this month --- would love you to share your card there as well.

  9. Wow this seems like a very different style for you and what a fabulous job you have made of it. Love the colours and the leaves.
I was wondering if it would be ok for me to use one of your sketches for an Allsorts challenge, it will not be until February but I thought I may use the 'theme' of a sketch and would like to use one of yours if you ok it.

  10. Hi Jules, fabulous card. The watercolour background is lovely and the Leafy Block stamp is perfect for an autumn themed card. I think, like you, that the card would be suitable for male or female. No colds in this household, so far ... I have my fingers crossed :) Hugs, Elizabeth xx
