CIRCLE FLOWERS

Hi Everyone

I have been out today to take shopping to Mum and to sort things out for her.  The shopping trip en-route was completely different with the little local supermarket now being "one way", with no backtracking, and sectioned off into 2 meter squares.  If someone was in the square in front of you then you had to wait in your own square until they moved.  Other people had to queue outside the supermarket until someone left the store so they could be let in.  Definitely a big change from what the store looked like when I last visited.

Mum can't quite get her head around it all and doesn't realise just what a state everywhere is .. .. not helped by the fact that she doesn't watch the news "because she is fed up with it all".  Bless her.  I hadn't the heart to tell her it could be like this for another 6 months!

Once home this evening my fingers were itching to have a little play and this is what I came up with:

This used:

Image and Sentiment:  Woodware Clear Magic Singles "JGS492 Circle Flowers"
Distress Inks:  Tumbled Glass and Worn Lipstick
Glossy Accents
Crystal Glamour Dust
My Trusty Sewing Machine

The stamp set was one of my crafty Mother's Day presents and I have been impatiently waiting to use it.

So that is me, with my itchy crafty fingers suitably satisfied for today .

Tomorrow I need to make the last of my Christmas cards for March!!

  3. Love those 'funky' flowers. It must be strange shopping these days, I'm 'old' so confined to barracks so haven't been in a shop for what seems like ages. Internet now at snail's pace so hope I can manage my next shop when a delivery slot becomes available - they are like hen's teeth!!

  6. A fabulous card Jules, I love your stamp.
I'm pleased that you managed to get and deliver your Mum's shopping, I think a lot of older people are very confused and unsure of what is actually going on - fortunately my Mum hasn't got a clue, I don't think she even realises that we haven't visited for some time!

  7. What a beautiful card, Jules. Love this style of image and the colours you've chosen are gorgeous. My parents are coping well so far and we're ferrying them bits and pieces as necessary. Take care, Jo x

  8. A fabulous card Jules, I love the stamp you've used. Know what you mean about the shopping trip, we,ve just got back from doing ours and mum's. She's confused too and can't understand why we can't just pop out every five minute to get something she thinks she might need. I might be hairless by the time this is over (I would say gray, but i'm already gray).

    Take care and stay safe

  11. Hi Jules your card is so pretty, love the doodled flowers and your lovely colours.
We haven't been to a supermarket for around ten days, Tesco is my nearest one, and there wasn't much on the shelves, but we will need to go at the weekend, so just hoping that it's better stocked by now.
I'm chuckling at your Mum's response and can't help thinking she is quite right, I just feel that we are being told lies the whole way, and all the mixed messages we are receiving leads me to believe that this dreadful government haven't a clue. And now it seems that there was a dry run on the country experiencing a crisis of this sort way back in 2016 I think it was and it was deemed a success, and that it was known then that thousands of ventilators would be needed....makes one wonder, yes, your Mum's on the ball, take care, Kate x
