REINDEER

Hi Everyone

I hope that you are enjoying your weekend and are finding time for a bit of crafty fun!

Tonight I decided to have a play creating a card for Fezziwig's Festive Frolics where the theme this fortnight is to "show some texture".

This is what I ended up with at the end of my session this evening:

This used:

Sizzix Bigz Die "664219" Reindeer
Sentiment:  Kaisercraft "C5188" North Pole
Creative Expressions That Special Touch "Distressed Dots" Mica Mask
Winsor & Newton Modelling Paste
White Gesso Acrylic
Brilliance Moonlight White Dew Drop Ink Pad
White Embossing Powder
Crystal Glamour Dust
Pearl
Ribbon
Sequin Waste to use as a stencil on the reindeer
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I started with a sheet of navy card and lightly painted it with white gesso before adding modelling paste through the mask .. .. .. .. and then sprinkled it with Glamour Dust to give it a shine,

Mr Blogger is messing with my photographs tonight so they will just have to stay in a different order to normal.

My card is all ready for tomorrow so I will definitely be seeing you then!

Take care everyone.  It is looking like we are going back to those super scary times again.

  2. What a super reindeer, guess he is quite large? You've certainly added lots of texture to the card, the background looks like denim. Look forward, as always, to seeing your next creation. Yes, the news is somewhat worrying and depressing but thank goodness for being able to 'get lost' if only for a short time in our crafting worlds. Enjoy your Sunday, stay safe. Hugs.

  9. Ah this is beautiful, what a pretty make and so full of texture. Love it. Think the whole country will be a bit more locked down again soo. We seem to be ahead of the game here in Scotland. We had further restrictions from Friday. Thanks for joining in with me over on Fezziwigs, Hazelxx

  11. I like this so much! I used to use embossing paste a lot with my stencils...In fact, I was thinking of trying it today, but never got around to it. I haven't done it fo awhile, and I'm afraid my paste will have dried up...but I guess the only way I'll find out...Is it I try it...
    Thanks for inspiring me ...
