My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

PERFECT PEAR

Hi Everyone

Happy Saturday .. .. .. and wishing you all a super happy weekend!

A busy old week here which has meant no blog posts!  Sorry about that, but Mum and admin work has taken priority.

Here now though with a Wedding Anniversary card which I was hoping to have posted yesterday, but by the time I got home the natural light was rubbish.  I don't know about you but I am certainly not ready for the nights to start drawing in yet.

So here is my perfect pear (well I think so anyway):

This used:

Image:  Watercolor Fruits Clipart  from Solomikka via Etsy (I copied and pasted the image and flipped one of them over to make a mirror image). Lots of fruit in this download .. .. .. all hand painted beautifully .. .. .. oh to have talent like this!
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
My Trusty Sewing Machine

The background for the fruit was from a Typewriter Digi Kit that I purchased from Theclipartfairy years ago, but I can't find it anywhere now.  I re-coloured and altered the depth of colour from the original.

I have been spending quite a bit of time creating and manipulating images using the Serif Craft Artist 2 programme but I am now attempting to learn a new programme which I purchased half price whilst we were in lockdown.  Still created by Serif so some things are the same .. .. but capable of doing so much more (much of which is like a foreign language to me at the moment).  It is called "Affinity Designer" and Mr Heart bought me a huge instruction book for me to work through.  Shame it didn't come with a huge dollop of extra hours for adding to my week too!

Anyway, that is me for today.  I am hoping for lots of crafty time over the weekend.

Hopefully you will have a good one too, doing whatever makes you happy!

Great card Jules...love the sentiment you've used... I'm not that clever with Craft Artist but would love to learn more....you're certainly talented when it comes to things like that. Since I changed my printer it doesn't like printing onto card which is annoying after having asked the chap in Comet...

enjoy the rest of your weekend

You've done a great job with these digital images and what a great idea for an anniversary - very clever. Good luck with your new programme and with finding some extra hours to play with it!!

I definitely am not ready for the nights to start closing in either Jules! But I've notice the nights growing a little shorter and shorter which makes me sad and slightly depressed. BUT it isn't bad yet! So I will hold on to the light of the evening as long as it lets me. lol Love this stunning anniversary card! The pear image is beautiful and I love the background. Hope your mum is doing well although I know you are busy with caring for her needs. You are a wonderful daughter! Hugs, Brenda

A fantastic card Jules. No I'm not ready for the nights to start drawing in yet, we've only really had a week of great summer weather so far. I do hope we are going to get some more.
