My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SNIPPETS FOR TEENY TINY TUESDAY

 Hi Everyone

Tuesday already!!  I can see this is going to be another week that flies by in the blink of an eye!

Here with my teeny tiny card for this week (which measures a whole 9cms square).

I made something using my snippets, which I might regret doing, because I enjoyed making it so much that it might become another obsession.

I purchased (many years ago) some small patterned paper pads from The Works.  Beautiful papers .. .. but that is exactly what the pages are .. .. paper!  But actually using them hasn't been easy because it is so flimsy that lines from double-sided tape or glue would show through, or crinkle the paper.  But I loved the designs and colours so much I simply kept them, whilst wishing the designs were made from paper that was the same thickness as their 12 x 12 design pads.

Anyway, this is what I made

This used:

Snippets of paper from a small paper pad from The Works (which probably now has antique value because it is very old, but the papers were too lovely for them not to move home with me)
X-Cut Butterfly Punch (another antique)
Wooden Embellishment
MFT Die Set:  Stitched Flowers
Gems and Pearl Embellishments
White Gel Pen
My Trusty Sewing Machine
WeRMemory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

To build up my creation, I cut and ripped the flimsy paper into various shapes and simply stitched them randomly to a base of patterned paper which measured 9cm square.  I added just a very, very tiny bit of glue where I wouldn't be stitching to hold each piece in place.

Working by attaching and overlapping one snippet at a time, each were stitched in place, which left me with a decent weight of paper for attaching to my card base .. .. and I didn't think it turned out too badly for a first effort. I feel this style of design will work best with the lighter weight design papers and card in my snippet collection.  The majority of my plain coloured card snippets would be too thick, other than for the topmost layers or embellishments as I did on this trial make.

There were quite a few snippets left from where I had tried to use the papers in the past (tucked in the back of the pad to keep them flat) and alongside some plain card .. .. .. these are what I started with .. ..

I am running over to the Snippets Playground to show my little creation off as everything (including the paper I used for the envelope) was a snippet - even the card base which I had created earlier.

Looking forward to trying this technique again sometime in the future.

THE RETURN OF TEENY TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope all is well with you all.

I am definitely enjoying getting some of my crafty time back again and feel like a kid in a sweet shop at the moment now that I get to play with all the goodies that have been packed away for months and months on end with no chance or time to make use of them!

Today sees the return of my Teeny Tiny makes, which for anyone new to my blog, measure a whole 9cm square .. .. and just to be extra good I have even used some of the snippets I had left over after Sunday's creation.

So here we go:

This used:

One of the images from an old "Backgrounds" clear stamp set from Kanban stamped onto white paper and coloured with ProMarkers.  Only a small stamp but perfect for what I needed
Then Julie Hickey goodies:
Sweet Daisy Stamp Set and corresponding Die Set
Hazel's Sentiment Medley Die Set SKU: DS-HE-1063 (loving this smaller version of some of Julie's larger statement dies).
Glamour Dust
My Trusty Sewing Machine
WeRMemory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

and that is me for today.

I will hopefully catch you again soon.

TEENY TINY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday!

I hope everything is going well for you all at the moment.

A very frosty start here but it turned into a lovely sunny (but still cold) day.

Trying very hard here to find some time to get myself back into the swing of blogging again and I made a little inroad with a teeny tiny make (a whole 3.5 inches square for anyone new to my blog).

My first playtime in quite a while, using an old image that I can remember buying from Ally Pally many, many years ago (April 2010 to be exact), and I still love it as much as I did on the day I bought it.

This used:

Image:  Whiff of Joy "Henry Hugging Heart"
Sentiment:  LOTV Sentiment Labels - Clear Stamp Set
All Papers and Card from Snippet Mountain
ProMarkers
Twine
We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board .. .. for the tiny envelope.  I used a larger snippet for this, folding so that the pattern is inside the envelope.

So with a mini "hit" on snippet mountain I am taking this teeny tiny card over to the Snippets Playground Challenge

The challenge now has it own sparkly new home (still run by the lovely Di)  .. .. .. and it looks wonderful.

Hopefully I'll catch you again soon.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday

I hope everyone's week is off to a good start .. .. .. and your cars have adequate supplies of fuel.

Our weekend was brilliant with all the family home.  My little nest was full again .. .. just for a little while.

I was very good and shared the fun by calling round to my Sister (she was as excited as I was to see everyone) and we sat out in the sunshine with a cuppa, catching up on everyone's news.  We also visited Mum .. .. .. so I wasn't greedy!  I shared all the happy vibes that everyone was giving off.

We fitted so much in that I can't believe it really.

So now all of us are back in our own homes, but with extra memories crammed into our hearts and brains.

I promised myself that I wasn't going to sulk once it was all over, but was going to simply be super grateful that the London Kids were happy to travel all that way so we could all be together.

Back into the old routine now though and I have lots of cards and projects to work on. Never a dull moment here.

My day started with a little batch of teeny tiny thank you cards .. .. .. which for anyone new to my blog measure a whole 3.5 inches square:

These used:

Image and Backing Paper:  Whimsy Dreams Clipart "Blue Fairy Meadow"
Sentiment:  LOTV "Spring Mix "
Glitter Paper
My Trusty Sewing Machine

That just leaves me to make four teeny, tiny envelopes now.

So back to it now and hopefully this evening will see me start to catch up with my blog commenting again.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday .. .. .. I hope your day has been a good one.

Here today to share a "teeny, tiny card" which for anyone new to my blog measures a whole 3.5 inches square.

These are great for attaching to gifts, sending as an "actual greeting card" .. .. .. and those without a sentiment sometimes look great mounted into a picture frame.  A set of them look great in a larger frame, be it just two, three or four .. .. even more if the frame is big enough. LOL!!

Just a little singleton from me today though along with a handmade envelope:

This used:

Image:  Woodware "JGS489" Cosmos Flowers
Sentiment:  Julie Hickey "SKU:JH1043" Sweet Daisy Stamp Set
Distress Ink Pads:  Speckled Egg and Bundled Sage
ProMarkers
Gold Glamour Dust
The envelope was made from a square of Pink Petticoat paper that was leftover from another project.  I quite like a pattern inside the little envelopes .. .. it makes them appear extra cute.
My Trusty Sewing Machine

and that is me for today.

Supper time now but I will catch you again soon.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope your week has got off to a good start and that you have seen some of the lovely sunshine we have been having here in my little part of the world.

So lovely to see the garden springing back into life all bright with so many beautiful colours!

Today before I put the stamp set away that I used at the weekend, I decided to use another stamp and die from the same set to create a teeny tiny card.

For anyone new to my blog these measure a whole 3.5inches square.

This used:

Image:  Hero Arts Stamp and Die Cut Set "657776"
Sentiment:  Clearly Besotted "Speaking Out"
Backing Papers:  From Snippet Mountain  (in fact everything for this card came from snippet mountain)
Spellbinder Nestabilities:  Scallop and Classic Circles
My Trusty Sewing Machine

and that is me for today.

A teeny, tiny post for a teeny tiny card.

Catch you again soon.

YOU MAKE ME SMILE

Hi Everyone

Happy Wednesday!  I hope you are going to have a good day.

I woke up early convinced that it was Thursday today .. .. so I now feel like I have a whole extra day in my week!  LOL!!  I am definitely going to make the most of it.  Lots and lots on my list that I am hoping to accomplish before bedtime.

Today I am sharing a teeny, tiny card.

I haven't made any of these for a while and my stock of them is starting to dwindle.  For anyone new to my blog they are a whole 3.5 inches square and are perfect for using up those small pieces of card and paper that we just can't bear to part with.  Even the envelope only needs a 6" square of paper.

This used:

Image:  Stampin' Up!  "Jar of Love" plus matching die set
Sentiment:  Verve Stamps "Thankful Hearts"
Backing Papers:  GCD Studios "Ella Blue"
Go Kreate Die:  Frilly Square #3
X-Cut Punch:  Tiny Butterfly (very old, but very useful)
Memento Dewdrop Ink Pads
Distress Ink Pad:  Tumbled Glass
Teeny tiny pearls for a Teeny Tiny Card
We are Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board
(Shock horror .. .. .. no sewing machine).

So that is me for now.

Off now to make the most of the rest of the day .. .. .. and hopefully this evening I will have chance to catch up with my blog visiting as I am a little behind with that.  Sorry folks :-(

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

Well the weather has taken a bit of a turn for the worse after the beautiful sunshine we were treated to at the weekend .. .. .. but I suppose it is a bit early in the year to be expecting too much isn't it.

I am here today to share a quick teeny tiny card, which for anyone new calling by my blog, measures a whole 3.5 inches square.  I love making small cards and very sadly I love making the little tiny envelopes too .. .. .. both the cards, inserts and the envelopes being great for reducing those snippets too!

Here is today's offering:

Image:  AALL & Create "Knibs & Mushrooms"
Sentiment:  LOTV "Embossed Labels"
Backing Papers:  Not sure .. .. from the snippet mountain
My Trusty Sewing Machine
We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

There are two sets of stamps in the pack .. .. Knibs & then Mushrooms.  The mushrooms will make an appearance another day.

I stamped the knibs onto some thin silver paper using Black Stazon, cut them out and then added them to the image.

So that is me for today,

Take care everyone and I hope you managed to find a little crafty time to lose yourself in a some point today.

See you again soon.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have had a good day.

All that lovely snow I showed you yesterday is slowly disappearing .. .. .. and a snowmen that has been standing to attention in a front garden over the road from us is starting to get a bit of a lean on him.  I don't think he is going to have a head on his shoulders by morning.  Shame!!   But at least that means the roads are going to be an awful lot safer!

Today is Teeny, Tiny Tuesday when I try to make a small 3.5" square card .. .. and use up some of those ever increasing snippets of card and paper.

This is my offering for today:

This used:

Butterfly Die Set "Crafter's Companion" Kaleidoscope of Butterflies (another fabby Christmas present xx)
Spellbinders: Circle and Scalloped Circle Dies
Distress Ink:  Tattered Rose
Glitter
Gems
Button
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I hope everyone is as well as they can be.

Stay safe and take care!

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope your Tuesday has gone well .. .. .. and you are finding enough to keep you occupied whilst in lockdown.

I have plenty to keep me out of mischief that's for sure.

Today I grabbed a few of the snippets that are haunting my craft pod and use them to make a teeny, tiny card.  For anyone new to my blog they are a whole 3.5 inches square.

No sentiment for this card .. .. I thought it would make a lovely little note card .. .. and at the same time it has potential for much larger cards too.  There is another bird in the stamp set and a couple of sentiments that I am sure will appear another day.

This used:

Image:  Woodware Clear Stamp Set "JGS701" Bird Blocks
ProMarkers
My Trusty Sewing Machine
We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

and that is me for today.

Take care everyone and stay safe.

TEENY TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday .. .. I hope your week is going as well as it can in light of the new national lockdown.

Here tonight with my first teeny, tiny card for 2021  (yay!!  I got the year right this time .. .. I had a blast from the past and called it 2012 in my last post!! I typed the year lots of times that day and everytime I put 2012!  LOL!!).

For anyone new to my blog my teeny tiny makes are a whole 3.5 inches square and they are great for using up those small pieces of card and design paper that we all stash away.

Of course a teeny, tiny card doesn't use many snippets .. .. but every little helps.

So here it is:

This used:

Sentiment:  Wow!! Embossing Powder "STAMPSET2" Gratitude.
Lots of snippets
A piece of acetate
My Trusty Sewing Machine
We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board

This was inspired by a YouTube video I watched where all the strips are stuck to a piece of acetate and then die cut into shape .. .. .. but I can't find it again now to link to it.  Sorry.

THANK YOU

Hi Everyone

Very late posting today as it has been one very busy day and evening  .. ..  but I was determined to still have a quick play.

Whenever I am having a play session or trying a new technique nine times out of ten it will end up as a teeny tiny card .. .. which for anyone new to my blog measures a whole 3.5 inches square.

This is what I ended up with:

This used:

Image Stampendous! Cling Stamp "CRP119" Dragonfly Vine
Sentiment:  Digistamp Boutique Clear Stamp Set (sadly no longer trading)
Brushos
LuminArte Twinkling H2Os  "Iridescent Blue"
Crystal Glamour Dust
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I decided to have a little session with my Brushos tonight and instead of just adding the colour and misting with water I wet my card first, added the Brushos, misted with more water until they puddled a little and then swiped the colour across the card using a tissue.  I was quite pleased with the result and decided to carry on and turn it into a card by stamping onto it once dried with a heat gun.

What I am not so pleased with are my actual photographs.  The wings of my dragonfly are not how they look in real life .. .. .. they actually have a lovely pearlised blue sheen from the H2O's which twinkles with the Glamour Dust I have added.

So that is me for today .. .. playtime over!
