My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY WISHES

Hi Everyone

Here at last after having technical nightmares!!

System up-dates to my computer and IPad are causing me so much grief (I would call them far from up-dates .. .. it feels more like "learn how to use your gadgets all over again") .

Hopefully my youngest will be able to press a few magic buttons for me (fingers crossed) so I can add my photographs and watermark exactly as I did before .. .. but in the meantime I have had to make do with the following .. .. and even that had to involve taking a picture on my phone, emailing it to myself and getting my head around a new programme to add a watermark.  Not an ideal finished look, but better than nothing I suppose.

It has taken me longer to get a picture added to my post than it has to make the card in the first place!

This used:

Image:  Woodware Clear Stamp Set "JGS290 - Bubble Bloom Felicity"
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Papers:  Snippet from an old paper stack from The Works
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents
Corner Rounding Punch
Ribbon
My Trusty Sewing Machine

So that is me for today.  Off to sit with Mum in a bit.

Sadly she is not playing ball at all and is refusing to eat, drink and take her meds most days .. .. naughty girl!  She pulls all the covers over her head and tell people to "go away and leave her alone" :-(

Although she is in a Nursing Home we as a family still take it in turns to go and sit with her every day but we rarely get anything out of her.  She just wants to sleep, bless her.

Anyway, time to get my bits together for visiting today.

Have a good one everyone.

A beautiful card in gorgeous colours Jules, I'm sure mum will know you are all visiting even if she doesn't engage

Gorgeous card Jules, I love the colours. Sorry to hear that your Mum isn’t doing what she’s supposed to be doing in the nursing home. Although you can’t get much out of her during your visits. I’m sure she knows you are there for her.
Take care, Liz xx

Sorry to hear about your computer problems. I hate it when they update things too. Suddenly things don't work as they used to. Lovely card though. Great colours and a lovely shine. If your mum is sleeping a lot, at least she is calm xx

Oh boy, been there done that…..emailing myself etc…..and I’ve still not mastered all of it because, like you say, they keep changing things!
A very pretty card though! xxx Hugs

Glad to see you back, even if you’re a bit frazzled. I know exactly what you mean about mums not playing ball and doing what they want, when they want.
I’m a full time carer at home for my 92yo mum and she is the same as your mum. I sometimes think that at 92 she’s earned the right to live her final months / years doing what she wants regardless of how it affects other people. My mum won’t have any outside help and refuses to let anyone in the house to help her saying she has me. It’s difficult as you know.
Your card is lovely. I’ve always liked Woodware stamps. They were some of the first I purchases about 30 years ago.

Very pretty card Jules, love the colour scheme. Sorry to hear about the tech nightmare … I think we’ve all been there, it is so frustrating! Sorry also your mum isn’t doing so well .. I’m sure she knows you are visiting her even if she doesn’t interact with you. Take care xx
