JULES' CRAFTY SNIPPET CHALLENGE - WEEK 30

My oh my!!!!

What a happy place the snippet playground was last week.

So many of us happily playing along with each other at various stages of the week .. .. .. and some playmates having so much fun that they came back to play again later!!  How lovely is that?

It was a snippet world record week and inspiration was flowing from all angles .. .. but do you know what the best part is?  It is that when I go to comment I see that all the playmates are chatting and commenting amongst themselves too .. .. so lots of new friendships are being formed.  How special is that?

But before I call the register of playmates here are my snippet makes for this week  .. .. just the three I'm afraid as we having been out and about today .. .. hence being a little late too .. sorry!!!

OK so now round to all my lovely snippet playmates of last week.  Lots of blog hopping and treats for you today folks!!  What a shame no calories are lost whilst doing hopping about because you would shed hundreds of them jumping around all the inspiration on show here:

First past the post was Debs who played twice this week.  With her first lovely creation here and the second (which was actually a collection of cards made for a very good cause) here.  Two great posts Debs and lovely creations .. .. plenty of hearts about too!!  LOL!!!

Next to arrive was Lisa.  Her first appearance shared two gorgeous makes which you can find here and the next beauty you will find here.  Such gorgeous papers and colours on this one!!   Thank you for giving us all such lovely inspiration Lisa.

Mandy also played twice this week with her first lovely creation here and the second here.  I am beginning to think that Mandy is perhaps getting into the mood for a holiday as both of her lovely creations are beach scenes!!!   Lovely use of your snippets Mandy!!!

Sally joined in the fun next with the most gorgeous tag in the most delicate shade of blue.  This made me think that some of my smaller snippets are just perfect for tags!!  Not something I had really considered before.  Sadly when I buy a birthday present I quite often just fasten the birthday card to the parcel.  Perhaps I should have a little box of birthday tags instead!!! Thank you Sally for the inspiration and getting my mind going down this track.

The next playmate into the snippet playground was Di.  Di also enjoyed herself so much that she played twice.  The first creation you can find here and the second here.  Both cards are so lovely with the first giving the potential to use up lots of "very small" snippets!!  Lovely creations Di!!

Andria came out to play next and what a beauty she came up with.  So many fabby layers and a brilliant image.  Not one I had seen before.  Thanks for sharing Andria.  Gorgeous work!

The next player I feel I was lucky to catch this week.  This was Mags.  She has been gadding about like there is no tomorrow .. .. she made me giddy with all her comings and goings this week .. .. LOL!!!  Mags shares 4 lovely makes on the same post.. .. but admits that only three of them are snippet makes as she cut into a brand new pristine piece of paper for one of them.  Never mind Mags .. .. three out of four can't be bad!!!  Loving the patchwork look you posted Mags!!

The next playmate was a super brave Craftilicious who not only shared some lovely birthday cards she has made with her snippets .. .. but she also shared a wonderful look around her craft space and snippet storage.  I love seeing how other people store their snippets.  Thank you so much for sharing!!!  Lots of people are going to enjoy a good snoop around there now I'm sure.

Tammy had so much fun that she visited twice last week too.  Her first lovely creation you will find here and the second one is here.  Both cards are lovely and are so very different to each other.  One all romantic and delicate and the other colourful and funky!!!  Can't choose a favourite between them as they are both so lovely.

Lynne also came along twice too last week.  The first creation you can find here and this really made me smile .. .. and I am sure it will you too when you read the post that goes with it.  Then Lynne's second creation is super special because it is for a super special little person.  This make is gorgeous and also features a healthy sprinkling of hearts!!  I wonder if there is a collective noun for lots of hearts LOL!!!  If not I might have to invent one.

Another brave playmate appeared next .. .. Vicky.  Not only did Vicky share a really beautiful snippet make she also bared her snippets for the world to see.  Could Vicky have more snippets than me?  It is possible but doubtful .. .. great storage ideas too.  Thanks for sharing Vicky!!!

A new playmate next in Alexeya who share the most lovely card inspired by a bouquet of flowers she was given by her husband for her birthday.  A lovely use of snippets and a very confident playmate too because she doodled the most amazing silver doodles!!!  Thank you for coming along to play Alexeya .. .. I hope you made some nice friends in the playground and had a lovely birthday.

Another heart overdose snippet appeared next from Katina who has been super organised and made her wedding anniversary card .. .. ..which she doesn't need until September!!!  Well done Katina.   Oh to be that organised!!  Loving this card and the gorgeous sentiment it carries.

A fabby make next from Sandra who made a lovely snippet card using such a lovely colour combo and a brilliant Penny Black image.  Sandra did sneak a few more snippet makes onto her blog this week but I think she felt she was overloading the snippet cart if she added too many LOL!!!  But the more the merrier I say .. .. then we can all get more inspiration as to what to do to whittle down our snippet mountains.

Brenda B called into the playground with a quick share before she headed off on a camping trip .. .. and what a lovely share it was too.  Such a cute image, gorgeous colour choices and embellishments.  Prepare to be inspired.  Hope you had a good time away Brenda.

Another new playmate this week was Elizabeth.  Lots to show you from Elizabeth's lovely blog.  First Elizabeth's very first snippet make which you can see here .. .. I love the little tree and am definitely going to "borrow" this idea!!  Next is Elizabeth's craft space and snippet collection which you can find here.  Lovely posts Elizabeth .. .. especially your holiday views!!  I hope you enjoyed your first visit to the snippet playground.

Claire was the next to the playground  and showed a whole host of  lovely creations with a couple based on a layout I had used a couple of Sunday's previous.  Loving the "dressed up" hearts in this post .. .. they look super cute Claire.  Thank you for sharing all these wonderful makes.

Then last but by no means least this week was Beryl with a superb Christmas card.  How gorgeous is this?  I really do need to remember to stamp in coloured ink more often because Beryl has produced a great look here.  Thank you for the inspiration!!!

So lots and lots and lots of playmates in the playground .. .. and lots and lots of hopping and inspiration for everyone.

Thank you everyone for playing along and keeping me company.
Fingers crossed I have managed to link everything up where it should be going as yesterday I entered the Penny Black Saturday Challenge and managed to link them to themselves LOL!!!  Oh dear!!!  LOL!!

Have a great evening everyone.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

A bit earlier post today as we are meeting up with friends for a Chinese meal tonight.

Last week I ran out of time to join in one of my favourite challenges .. .. The Penny Black Saturday Challenge.. ..  so I decided to play along "nice and early" this week.

The theme is to use your Penny Black stamps for making a background.  Not something I have done before .. .. but I will be doing it again.

Here is my make

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3868J" Portraits
Sentiment:  Penny Black "2908F" ...To You
Martha Stewart Punch:  Doily Lace
Nestabilities:  Scalloped Ovals (thanks Carole xx)
Woodware Punch:  Daisies
Leone Em Pty Punch:  Ash Branch
AquaMarkers
ProMarkers (using the new fine nib attachments  -  thanks Di xx)
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and brads from the Stash Box

and that is the entry from The House of Hearts!!  LOL!!

Today has been very warm, bright and beautiful .. .. and when I look out of the window on a Saturday morning I always look at the weather to consider what it is going to be like for any lovey dovey couples who may be getting married.

Hubby asked what the weather was doing and I burst into song and sang "It a great day for a white wedding" .. .. oh I must be so annoying to live with!!!!   LOL!!!

The saddest part is that song has been in my head all day and I can't stop singing it!!

OK .. so that is me for today.  Back tomorrow with the snippet register .. .. .. and how many playmates joined in the fun this week .. .. loads, and loads and loads!!!!

See you soon....

NO MR FROGGIE :-(

Hi Everyone

Well it would seem that Mr Froggie perhaps has access to a laptop and has read from my blog that I am after a photograph of him because he hasn't made an appearance at all today :-(

He must be camera shy.

Perhaps because it hasn't been quite so sunny and warm today he didn't feel the need for a quick shower under my hosepipe!!

I hope he hasn't gone to live somewhere else!!

Anyway round to my share of the day.

All normal stuff finished for the day I decided to have a little play tonight and this is what I came up with:

This used:

Backing Papers:  DCWV "Old World Stack"
Image:  PaperArtsy "HP1004EZ"
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Go Kreate:  Concentric Frilly Square #3
My Trust Sewing Machine
Pinking Shears
Sticky back pearls
Some more of my Sister's lovely fabric snippets

I was given some of my lovely Sister's fabric to have a play with last week and this fine mesh is just gorgeous.  Apparently it is "as cheap as chips" from the local market so I will be getting a little bit more than a snippet piece!!  Plus I am reliably informed that it comes in lots of colours too!!!  LOL!!!

Oh dear.  I feel another bit of re-organisation coming on in readiness for new supplies moving into the craft pod!! (or moving into the spare bedroom).  I pity any guests coming to stay with us because their drawer space for storing things is slowly disappearing!!  I am going to have to just ask people to stay for one night so they don't have to bring much with them!!  LOL!!!

Well I had better get going.  My fish and chips will be ready soon.

Enjoy what remains of Friday and have a good weekend everyone.

BABY CARD AND NATURE WATCH !!!

Hi Everyone

I know I posted yesterday morning but you know it seemed really weird not posting last night .. .. and it seemed a shame to take my little birthday wallet off top slot too quickly .. .. it seems ages ago since I posted last LOL!!!

Anyway, here I am now with a quick post of one of my favourite type of cards to make .. .. a new baby card!!  Awwww...  I am such a slush pot!!

Here is my creation

This used:

Image: Penny Black "2073J" Baby Hammock
Sentiment and Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
Nestabilities: Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large
My Trust Sewing Machine
ProMarkers
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and brad from the Stash Box

.. .. .. and that is my share for today.

Just off to spend a couple of hours with my Mum and put my inserts into my cards whilst I am there.

I am taking Mum some lettuce and mint out of the garden and whilst picking them just saw a garden inhabitant that has been around all week now.  A friendly frog!!   Everytime he appears he makes me jump - even though I am expecting to see it.

We have seen him every night and morning this week when we water.  He hops out from under the huge courgette leaves normally .. .. but fooled me this time by coming out from inside the runner bean wigwam!!  LOL!!! .. .. he isn't very big and quite cute for a frog.  I always turn the hose pipe onto "mist" and give him a good shower when he appears.  He seems to really enjoy it.

I will have to see if I can get a picture of him.  I think he perhaps lives under the shed come night time as that is where he eventually hops off to if we stay around in the garden too long.

We also seem to have quite a few butterflies too .. but they are quite small this year.  Last night's new butterfly was extra beautiful and I have never seen one like it before.  When its wings were together it looked silver white but when flying it was the most gorgeous violet blue colour .. .. a bit like the parma violet sweets we used to have as kids.  But no pattern on it that we could see .. .. just tiny and very beautiful.

I am going to have to take my camera outside when I do my "land duties" in future.

Have a lovely rest of Thursday everyone.

COOL DUDE

Hi Everyone

Wow!!!  This is early for me!!!  I have hardly wiped the sleep out of my eyes!!!  LOL!!!

Today it is my turn to post a project to the Get Funky Challenge Blog .. .. .. where as a DT we all post on different days throughout the month so that we are constantly sharing some inspiration as to what can be done with Anice's gorgeous products.  There was a fabby freebie again this month too!!!

The challenge for this month has been set by my lovely teamie Ruth .. .. and she chose the theme of "boys, boys, boys".

I wanted to do something other than a card (and fancied a play with my sewing machine) and this is what I came up with.  It was one of those rare occasions where you get a vision in your head and it actually turns out how you imagined it LOL!!!

So here it  is:

Everything I have used has come from Funky Hand with the exception of the Hot Fix studs and the Fivers!!!.  Some elements have been taken from the free paper Anice provided and some from the Papercraft Factory CD "Colour Me Happy" (Jovial Man Section).

The £5 notes are not part of a download or from the CD and not a rubber stamp either .. .. they are the result of hard work!!!

I hope you have time to pop along to the challenge blog to see what else my other teamies have been making this month .. .. and if you have time to join in with us then so much the better.

So now I am round to putting lots of you out of your misery.  It would appear my heart was a little tricky to find last night .. .. tee hee .. .. it was a little pale (in fact nearly as pale as my little chappies cheeks!!).   I even had a few emails asking me if I had forgotten to add one.

I must admit I did make it tricky on purpose as I decided my hearts have been a bit obvious of late .. .. but torture over .. ..  here it is .. .. ...

easy when you know where to look!!!  So cancel those eye check ups everyone!!!

I was quite chuffed to think that people still bother to look for the hearts.

Even when I give a card away to people they look straight away for the heart .. .. and if it is too easy to find they actually look quite disappointed!!!   LOL!!!

Anyway, have a good day everyone.  It feels quite "close" here today and I don't think we are forecast any sunshine .. .. shame!!!

ABRACADABRA

Hi Everyone

Another beautiful day in my neck of the woods .. .. lots of sunshine .. .. and treat of treats I have been able to have my craft room window open without my papers flying everywhere!!  That was nice.

All I needed was for someone to be cutting their lawn so I could smell the freshly mown grass .. .. but sadly that didn't happen today!!  Never mind we can't have everything.

Tonight's share is a lovely Lili of the Valley image  .. .. ... but shock horror I have just realised that I haven't given the poor little chappie any rosy cheeks so he looks like he has spooked himself!!

This used:

Image:  Lili of the Valley:  Abracadabra
Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat "Spooky Doodlies"
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Woodware Punch:  Inverted corner punch
Sizzix Die:  Stars
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Swiss Dots
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Diamond Stickles
ProMarkers

So that is me for today.

I will be here bright and early tomorrow as it is my day to do a reveal on the Get Funky! challenge .. .. and here is a little peep at what I have made.  I was quite "chuffed" with it as it came together without any faff or nonsence .. .. which is just the way I like it!!!

A super dinky shot .. .. what can it be?  It definitely isn't a card - that is the only clue I am giving.

See you tomorrow.

THAT'S TORN IT !!!

Hi Everyone

What a lovely day it has been weatherwise today.  The garden certainly needed a good drink this morning and will need another one tonight too!!

Just a quick share tonight that features not only my own snippets in the form of all the papers used on this creation but also some of my lovely Sister's snippets in the form of the lace for the flower.  I have paper snippets she has fabric ones!!  LOL!!!

This was some of what we were up to on Saturday.  Cutting fabric with Sizzix Dies and Nestabilities to see what we could create.  What great time we had!!

Here is my share for today .. .. and everything has been torn .. .. the only straight edges being ones that were already there.  So that's a relief to know .. .. if I ever lose my scissors and guillotine I will still be able to make cards LOL!!!

This used:

Backing Papers:  Memory Stor
Sentiment:  Penny Black "Critter Party"
Brilliance Ink Pad:  Pearlescent Beige
Nestabilities:  Scalloped Circle
Ribbon, lace, ric-rak and buttons from the stash box

A bit different for me .. .. but I like to ring the changes and try new things.

I'll catch you again tomorrow.

JULES' CRAFTY SNIPPET CHALLENGE - WEEK 29

Hi Everyone

Well what can I say?

The reveal of the extent of my snippets last week clearly shocked quite a few of you lovely onlookers -but it also made lots of you feel much more comfortable with your own snippet collections. LOL!!

But believe me it could be far worse!!!  I do use my snippets whenever I can .. .. but refuse to throw any away!!!  Sometime crafty playmates come round and use some of them up but I am sure I will never be clear of them completely .

However, in my defence I do make cards, invitations and favour boxes etc every day from dawn until dusk (but with reduced hours at the weekend LOL!! ) .. .. so I do create rather a lot of the blighters!!

Anyway, I have three snippet makes this week which were all made with the intention of using up some of those white snippets that are overflowing from their storage area.  So apart from a few snippets of patterned paper, this week distress inks and clear embossing powder have come into play to colour plain white snippets up.

So there were lots of playmates using up their snippets this week .. ..  some regular faces and some brand new ones.  Can you believe that some were even brave enough to share pictures of their snippet collections.. .. and I have one very special playmate who joined in via email!!!

So let me start calling the register of all the lovely snippetiers who gathered in the playground this week .. ..

Quite a few were very on the ball and joined in straight away as soon as I posted my creations for the day .. ..

Bright and early was Lynne who shared a gorgeous card made with her snippets .. .. BUT ALSO .. .. photographs of all her snippets strewn across the bed .. .. and then all super organised into storage boxes.   Well done Lynne .. .. and I am pleased that seeing my snippet stash made you feel so much better .. .. all part of the service LOL!!  I like to think I make people feel good about themselves .. tee hee!!!

Next was Helen who shared the most gorgeous caterpillar card.  It reminded me of "the very hungry caterpillar".  I love the finished look of this very much.

Irene joined the playground next .. .. in fact she came along with two lovely snippet makes this week.  The first one you can find here and the second one here.  I love Irene's cards so much as she always adds such beautiful sentiments and I have decided to Christen her "the sentiment Queen".  The sentiments are always so very profound and nearly always ones I should take heed off!!

Di was another lovely playmate who visited twice this week with two fabby creations.  The first one you can find here and the second here.  Di said she is on a roll with her snippets .. .. and I do think it is infectious .. .. there is a sense of satisfaction in using up some of the gorgeous offcuts that hang about the craft space.  I love the sentiment on the second creation very much.  Something lots of us can relate to I'm sure!!!    You can even see Di's organised snippet collection here (following her clean up campaign).

Another double playmate this week was Amanda who created two brilliant projects with her snippets.  The first one (with its fantastic colour combo) you will find here and the second one is here using what is probably my favourite "get well" image of all time!! (so far LOL!!).

Then yet another double whammy came from Samantha who has also got a snippet mountain she would like to reduce .. .. the first of Samantha's lovely creations can be found here (lovely to see snippets being used for things other than cardmaking!!) and the second beauty is here and proves that you don't need to cover your card with all kinds of everything for it to be lovely.

Next was Beryl who showed an abundance of patience with her creation .. .. I have this die and know that this snowman is quite a fiddly little chappie to put together .. .. but the finished result was certainly worth it.  A beautiful Christmas card Beryl .. thanks for sharing.

Sandra came to the party next .. .. along with her sparkly party hats!!  I loved these Sandra very much .. .. great colour combo and layout.  Loving the idea of repeating an image .. .. it gives a great finished look.  Brilliant inspiration.

Next to join the happy gang was Lisa with her tips for a great diet!!  Sounds good to me but I don't somehow think it will work LOL!!  There are some fantastic ideas on this creation .. .. I might need to borrow one or two of them!!!

Andria also proved this week that snippets are good for more than cards.  Prepare for a treat here .. .. if only we could have "smellie blog posts" as this would then be a treat for the eyes and for the nose!!!  A beautiful post Andria .. thank you for sharing.

My next playmate was the lovely Mandy who used her snippets to create a really fun and colourful creation.  I love the rainbow and clouds on this make.   Such a happy card.

Then Katina came out to play with a gorgeous make using the most lovely colours .. .. and a snippet that I wish  had been in my collection!!!

Those are all my linked playmates .. .. but I do have another couple to share .. .

Firstly is Sally .. .. who made a lovely snippet creation but was someone else who was brave enough to share her snippet collection.  I wonder if mine will every compact into something this size LOL!!!

Then last but by no means least .. ... my lovely Big Baby Boy emailed me a snippet creation he had made as a birthday card for the man who was best man at his wedding.  I have a feeling my lovely DIL would have been assigned the job but as she was away "on a dig" the task fell to my Son.

Here is his creation:

Love the lizard .. .. and is that a bit of distressing you have done there?  .. .. well done for taking on the challenge Paul (I am so proud of you, as always xx).    Edited to say that now my lovely DIL has returned home from her "dig" I have had it reported to me that the image had already been produced by Cat and was sitting waiting to be used .. .. so this had better now be officially recognised as a joint effort.  I don't want to cause trouble in paradise  LOL!!  Thank you kids xx  (Hope you hadn't got plans for it on your return Cat and now you have to start again?)

OK .. .. that is my marathon post done.

I hope you have time to visit all the lovely blogs so that you can meet the lovely people who join me each week in the snippet playground and make it such a special place to be.  It is lovely to have playmates.

Have a lovely evening everyone and I hope the week ahead is going to be a good one for you.

ONE EXTREME TO THE OTHER

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a good day today .. .. mine has been brilliant spent with my lovely Sis (though she did cut a circle into the wrong B Plate when using my Cuttlebug!!  I always keep one just for cutting into that is shaped a bit like a banana and another all flat and clean .. .. now it is flat and clean with one solitary circle cut into it).    Bless her .. .. her face was a picture.  She felt really guilty I could tell so I just told her it will remind me of her each time I use my Cuttlebug .. .. which it will .. . and I will smile and picture her face of guilt!!  LOL!!!  It is a good job I love her and can forgive her.

My how the time flew - then suddenly we realised it was gone 7.00pm!!!  Eeekk!!!!

Sis disappeared home as she was going out for a meal and I disappeared upstairs to make a quick card .. .. .. and it is the total opposite to the one I made yesterday.

Yesterday I felt was all romantic and delicate and today is .. .. well .. .. I will let you decide for yourself .. .. but clearly quick and simple comes into it!!  LOL!!

This used:

Backing Paper:  DCWV All About Boys Stack
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Diamond Plate

It couldn't be much different to last night's card if it tried could it?

I am going to turn the one I did last night into a Golden Wedding Anniversary card .. .. that definitely got the most suggestions.  Thank you for that!

Sorry to be so late .. .. I promise to be earlier tomorrow with my snippet makes and my playmate role call.  There was definitely lots of company in the playground this week!!  It was lovely!!

See you tomorrow.

CAN YOU TELL WHAT IT IS YET?

Hi Everyone

Well can you tell what it is?  Is so please let me know too.

I am unsure what to turn this creation into.  Is it a wedding card?  Is it an anniversary card?  Is it even a Golden wedding anniversary card?

I don't really want to leave the insert blank .. .. that never looks right to me .. .. I shall ponder longer . .. but for now here it is .. ..

This used:

Image:  Anita's "26643" Torn Love Letter
Embossing Powder:  Champagne Gold
Scor-pal Embossing Board
Ribbon, rose and pearls from  The Stash Box
No backing paper on this one .. .. just more of those lovely white snippets used up!!!

So there we go.  I hope you like it.

The stamp I have used is an old favourite and has been used time and time again for so many things it is unbelievable.  Funny how we get our favourites isn't it.

Well off to finish a few jobs now.  It has been one of those days where I have lots of things on the go and none of them are finished yet.  The most important one being to finish putting the clean bedding on the bed .. .. or else there won't be any falling into bed easily later!!

Have a good weekend everyone.

My lovely Sis is coming to spend some time with me tomorrow so we can go through our plans for the up and coming fayres we are doing.  Nothing better than time with each other to get us all fired up and extra creative!!  LOL!!!

DAISY - ALL STITCHED UP

Hi Everyone

Sorry, I am a little late tonight.

We have been round to see some friends who have a young son with a birthday tomorrow .. .. so a card and present needed to be delivered to him ready for the morning.

Such a shame he is going to have to open his presents and then be taken off to school  :-(  I think it should be a rule that you shouldn't have to go to school or to work if it is your birthday (I wonder if I wrote to the Prime Minister if he would agree?   I somehow think not!!  LOL!!!).

Anyway, we are back home now and time for a quick share

This used:

Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat
Backing Paper:  Digichick Boutique "Joyful Heart Designs"

and that is it!!!

My sewing machine is still out at the moment so I decided I needed to make a bit more use of it!

Thank you for all your lovely comments on the flower I showed last night.  So pleased you liked it!!

Have a good evening everyone.  FRIDAY TOMORROW!!!   YAY!!!!

FLUFFY TATTERED FLORALS

Hi Everyone

You know I find the hardest thing about doing a blog post is thinking up a title for it!!!

Is it just me or does anyone end up torturing their brain over what to call it?  It is so much simpler if you are entering a challenge as you can just put the challenge title in there!!!  That will teach me to make a card .. .. just because I want to try something out

This used:

Image:  Inkadinkado "90355"  (love this stamp.  It doesn't have a name but looks like real lace)
Sentiment:  Hobby Art "CS016D" General Greetings
Sizzix Die:  Tim Holtz Tattered Florals
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Swiss Dots
Martha Stewart Punch:   Doily Lace
Papermania:  Adhesive Pearls and Posh Brad
Distress Ink:  Dusty Concord
Clear Embossing Powder
Vellum
Ribbons and cord from the Stash Box

I cut my tattered florals out of various shades of purple vellum and ran them through my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder .. .. screwed them up a bit and then attached them all to a brad .. .. but between each of the different flower types I wound some fine feather ribbon that has long strands attached to it. I think it has worked quite well.

I have also been very good and used up a bit of that white snippet card I have.  I stamped the lace image with versafine onyx black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then distressed it all with the dusty concord ink .. .. .. and that was just about it other than putting it all together.

So no Apprentice for me tonight .. .. although Big Baby Boy did text me on Monday to tell me that an American Celebrity Apprentice was starting .. .. so of course I am into that now!!!  LOL!!!

Thanks for calling by everyone and for your lovely comments.  I do appreciate them.

Have a lovely evening.

SKETCH N STASH (PLUS A FREEBIE)

Hi Everyone

A bit of a chilly day here .. .. have had to get my "long sleeves" out again!!!

Never mind, I think the chill is going to be short lived and the weekend could be nice (as you can tell I am ever the optimist).

I am here tonight with my Sketch N Stash Challenge entry

This used:

Backing Papers:  All from Funky Hand CD "Now That's Funky"
Image and Sentiment:  Put together from Woodware Clear Stamps "FRCL037" By The Sea
Nestabilities:  Standard Circles Large, Classic Scalloped Circles Large
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Crystal Stickles
ProMarkers
Distress Ink
Cord and charm from the Stash Box

Here is the sketch that I worked to

The challenge also asks what new or neglected stash you have used.  Well my Funky Hand CDs are never neglected .. .. but this little stamp set hasn't seen the light of day for a while!!

I used Bev's lovely cloud tutorial which you can find here to do my sky. There are lots of other little videos to watch too .. .. thanks Bev xx.

Whilst talking of Funky Hand a new challenge started over there on the Funky Fifteenth and Anice has created a beautiful free paper that looks like this....

The theme this time is "Boys, boys, boys" and if you don't already own any Funky products you could use the fab freebie and try to win a download of your choice. You can get to the challenge and the free paper by clicking here.

I'll catch you again tomorrow.
