IN THE GARDEN

Hi Everyone

In the garden?  Well not me today I'm afraid, but Hubby has been a good lad and worked really hard out there .. .. so much so that he already has aches in places he didn't know he had!!  I dread to think what he will be like tomorrow!!  Don't think I will think about that LOL!!

I did have a go at using my heat gun on my ribbon today .. .. at the moment the jury is still out on whether it is a good look or not.  At the moment it is "not" .. .. .. but that could be because I am used to nice big crisp and clean ribbons on wedding stationery .. .. and not shrivelled up little ones LOL!!

Beautiful weather here and lots of birds nest building in and around the garden.  They have been bobbing around collecting bits of dried grass etc for their construction work.  Yep, I really do think Spring is here .. .. woo hoo!!!

Our "pretend" Auntie definitely liked the card I made for her 90th birthday.  She had a huge pile of cards waiting to be opened today (though she was contemplating opening them at midnight .. .. bless!!!).  But she opened ours whilst we were there and it was placed on the mantelpiece.

We also had a celebration drink.  She checked who was driving and because it was hubby she was well chuffed because we could both have a G&T.  But boy oh boy was it a strong one!!!  I wonder if that is her secret to a long and healthy life?  Best get hubby to mix me a glass just in case .. .. but not so strong as yesterday!!  LOL!!

Right, can't hang about today .. .. need to get that Cuttlebug into action .. ..  lots of cutting needs to be done!!  My lovely couples are definitely keeping me busy!!  Woo hoo!!

A SPECIAL BIRTHDAY

Hi Everyone

Well after bragging about the lovely weather here yesterday .. .. it has been rubbish today.  Serves me right!!  In fact it is raining so much at the moment that it looks foggy!!

We are off out tonight to deliver a bouquet of flowers and a card to a special lady.  It is my hubby's "pretend Auntie" who was his late Mum's friend since childhood and they lived at opposite ends of the same street for many, many years.

I wanted to make a special card for her .... but didn't want it to look old because even though she is going to be 90 she certainly isn't old.  I do hope that if I am lucky enough to live this long that I fare as well as she has.

In the past she enjoyed sewing and went for lessons at the local college for years so hopefully she will appreciate what I have made for her.

HAS SPRING SPRUNG?

Hi Everyone

What a beautiful day weather wise!!!

Why does this always happen the day after a bank holiday?  We get blessed with a day that would have been perfect for all the things people wanted to do yesterday.

So because the weather was so lovely .. .. what do I do? .. .. I make even more ironing!!!  Stupid girl!!!

I was supposed to have done loads of ironing last night but hubby made the fatal mistake of saying "you don't need to bother tonight .. .. I have a shirt for tomorrow".  Well of course I never need telling twice so did none!! LOL!!!

Instead I did my impression of a hamster and sat and turned the squeaky handle on my Cuttlebug some 120 odd times to cut and emboss dies for going onto a wedding stationery order.   Much preferable to ironing any day!!

So I ended up getting up early and ironing this morning .. .. but still have lots left .. .. and will have even more when I fetch my washing in!!  At least it will smell nice.

My share today made me thankful that my washing line isn't that low off the ground .. .. my sheets would definitely be dragging on the floor if it was!

Hi Everyone

Well where has the Bank Holiday weekend gone :-( ?

I have only just noticed the time and couldn't believe the day has gone so quickly .. .. and I got up early too so it isn't as if I wasted my time by lying in bed!!

I have had a wedding invitation pick up this morning and a table plan planning session with another "happy couple" this afternoon so I suppose that will answer for a good part of it.  Time just flies when you are having fun I suppose.

But I did have a little play .. ..

SNIPPETS ON A SUNDAY

Happy Sunday!!!

Isn't it lovely to think it is Sunday .. and that it isn't the end of the weekend.  There is another day added to it!!  Woo hoo!!

I am just skipping into Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge quickly with my share for today.

As normal for Sunday I am being super lazy and not listing anything I have used.  But if you would like to know anything just ask away.

There was no ribbon the colour I wanted in my bit drawer so I coloured a piece of white ribbon with the same ProMarker as I coloured the little flower with.  

I was quite chuffed with my snippet make today as most of the things I used hadn't even made their way into the snippet drawer.  They were just lying on the desk waiting to be used.  Can't be bad.

I also need to eat my words from yesterday's post.  Hubby actually went out this morning and attacked some of those smiling dandelions!!  What a good chap!!  I wonder if he took a peep at my blog and decided to shock me LOL!!!

OK .. .. back to the wedding invitations for me now.

Not much chance I will be able to attack them this holiday .. .. too much to be done on the wedding front to be messing about with those.  Hopefully Mr Heart will make a start on digging them out .. .. but I won't hold my breath!!  LOL!!

HANDBAGS AT DAWN !!

Well not quite dawn .. .. but I did make this card very early this morning .. .. before settling into work.

Some of you may remember me making these last year.

Well if I made one last year I must have made about 60 .. .. they were very popular and  I couldn't make them quick enough.  In fact I made so  many that I needed a rest from them.

But today .. I fancied making another and really enjoyed myself in the process .. .. plus I was much quicker than I was last year which helped!!  I felt a bit  like my lovely Sis designing handbags LOL!!!

So an up-date on my scrummy carrier bags I posted about yesterday.

I got an email this morning saying that my order was on its way .. .. and would be delivered by "Colin" between 12.05 and 13.05 and if today isn't convenient then just click and change the day .. .. I am so impressed!!

Of course today was fine .. .. and Colin arrived .. .. at 12.08 with my order .. .. and as for my carrier bags .. .. .. ..  I love them!!!

Time to get cracking on a mega printing job now .. ..  what's the betting the next thing I need to order will be ink!!!

LOOK WHAT I FOUND TODAY!!

Hi Everyone

No card for me to share with you today :-(

It has been a day of wedding makes, happy brides visiting, enquiries and magazine work.

What more could a girl want?  Well perhaps just "one" card she could share!!!  But no!!

I wonder if I will ever get to the stage where I just have a stack of cards made that I can post as and when? I somehow doubt it.

Anyway,  something else I did today was to try and source some bags for my happy couples to take their wedding stationery home in .. .. and look what I found.

Just perfect for my needs (I hope)!!

I ordered them at dinnertime and received an email this evening saying they were on their way and would be delivered tomorrow .. .. and if I log on tomorrow with my "special number" it will tell me which hour they are going to be delivered!!  Now that is what I call clever!!

Just keeping my fingers crossed that the bags are a lovely as they look .. .. or can I perhaps not see past the heart LOL!!!  I will let you know tomorrow!!

For now I am off to do just a few more "little things" from my "do list" ahead of The Apprentice and my supper.
