My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

PENNY BLACK SATURDAY CHALLENGE

Hi Everyone

What a strange day!!!

I woke up bright and early this morning ahead of my lovely Sis calling in .. .. .. and I could have sworn I was in Spain!!  The sun was so bright and warm and beautiful.

It put me in an even happier mood than normal (the sunshine and the thought of spending time with my Sis being a wonderful mix).

But unlike Spain the sunshine didn't last all day long .. .. it sadly disappeared and the day has finished up quite grey and overcast.

So much for me envisaging lots of BBQ's happening all over the country this weekend  LOL!!!

Well today I have had a play with the Penny Black Saturday Challenge where the theme this week is "Doodlebug"  .. .. .. but not by way of linking it to an American self propelled rail car, nor a woodlouse, or a flying missile and not even connected to the 1997 film of the same name  .. .. .. ..  they just want you to get the bug for doodling!!!  Tee hee!!!

This can be as simple as some faux stitching or a whole artistic doodle .. .. .. (of course I went for the simple option).

Here is my make

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2068K" Party Pooped
Sentiment:  Penny Black "Critter Party"
Backing Paper:  Papermania "The Big One"
ProMarkers
Glamour Dust
Star Button from the stash box

It is quite apt that the backing paper stack is called "The Big One" .. .. .. it is huge .. .. .. and if I live to be 102 I don't think I will ever use it all.  I have had it for over a year now and have hardly made a hole in it (mind you some of the patterns do leave a bit to be desired!!).

So that is me for today.

I am hopeful of a good blog catch up over the next couple of days.  This week has been so manic that I haven't had much chance .. .. but everything "urgent" is now off my "do list"  so I can now have a bit of guilt free blog hopping!!  Yay!!!

Catch you tomorrow with my snippets.

Love

Such a lovely stamp Jules, really cute & you've coloured it perfectly. Nice papers too, I do like brown patterned paper but it's difficult to come across in my local craft shops. How do you manage to get your faux stitching so straight? Mine always seems to look a tad wonky. lol.
