My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

IN THE GARDEN

Hi Everyone

In the garden?  Well not me today I'm afraid, but Hubby has been a good lad and worked really hard out there .. .. so much so that he already has aches in places he didn't know he had!!  I dread to think what he will be like tomorrow!!  Don't think I will think about that LOL!!

"In the garden" where I am concerned is the challenge theme over at Penny Black Saturday this week.

So here is my share for today and for the challenge

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "3636K" Flying Stars
Sentiment:  Hobby Art "CS016D" General Greetings
Backing papers:  GCD Studios "Soul Food"
Heat It Up Embossing Powder:  Seafoam White
X-Cut Punch:  Butterfly
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Button, Ribbon and Pearls from the Stash Box

and that is it!

I did have a go at using my heat gun on my ribbon today .. .. at the moment the jury is still out on whether it is a good look or not.  At the moment it is "not" .. .. .. but that could be because I am used to nice big crisp and clean ribbons on wedding stationery .. .. and not shrivelled up little ones LOL!!

Hope you have all had a good Saturday.

Beautiful weather here and lots of birds nest building in and around the garden.  They have been bobbing around collecting bits of dried grass etc for their construction work.  Yep, I really do think Spring is here .. .. woo hoo!!!

I'll catch you tomorrow with my snippets.

Love

Beautiful soft toned card Jules, love the embossed images and teeny ting butterflies.

Your a lucky girl, having a hubby who gardens. Both hubby and l don't enjoy it! Think your hubby may need a hot bath with some bubbles to rest those muscles!

The weather was great here today but bit of a let down day here as we went to ride a steam train only to find they don't run on a Saturday! Should of rang before we set off I'm thinking, doh!

Have a great evening xx

Wow Jules, this is fabulous. Love the colours and the stamping loads. Perfect for the challenge - and you've enlightened me. I had no idea about the 'shrivel your bow' technique - I like it:)

Whoop, whoop - sun shining again here today - more washing to peg out no doubt.

Oh I love all the neutrals you've got going on in this card Jules! Your shabby chic ribbon turned out beautifully but I confess I prefer a big clean ribbon too. Vicky x

It's so beautiful - the image and the papers are lovely - and I do like 'heat treated bows' but have only tried it on organzer before - and I'd even forgotten that trick. I should try it again - especially as I'm rubbish at bows - it could hide many sins.
