A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

A DAY TO CHERISH

Hi Everyone

I hope that you had a good weekend .. .. .. our weather seems to have taken a turn for the better over the last couple of days, so I have my fingers crossed that it is going to last for a few days more.

Today has been a lovely and special day and one to cherish .. .. .. it has been my Mum's 91st birthday!

As a family we still don't feel comfortable about taking her out to crowded eating places.  We are still protecting her (probably too much if that is possible) but she is special, and we want to keep her as well as we can.

I have spent the afternoon and evening with Mum and during this time lots of her family were either telephoning, facetiming or calling by to see her.  It has been such a lovely day to share with her.  But bless her by the time I was leaving tonight she was well and truly wacked .. .. .. it has been a big day for her.

Food had been cooked and some of us shared a meal with her .. .. and she still has lots of birthday cake left to share with tomorrow's callers.

This is the card I made for her.  Sadly only one picture.  I just took a quick picture using my tablet as I couldn't find the memory card for my camera.  Typically as I was leaving the house I found it .. .. but never mind.  One picture is better than none.

This used:

Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Paper:  Make & Create "Fresh Feelings"
Spellbinder Circle and Scalloped Circle Dies
Ribbon & Twine
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I chose this lovely die simply because Mum loves it when we facetime and I show her the flowers that we have growing in the garden.  I can't say that I have done my fair share of the watering though this year!

So that is me for today .. .. all ready for teeny, tiny Tuesday tomorrow!

A really beautiful card for a special birthday lady - great that you could spend the day together and more restful and enjoyable than a busy restaurant for a celebration.

It sounds like you and your mum had a lovely day together, it's so hard to know what to do for the best when mixing with others.

Beautiful card Jules, love the colour palette.

So pleased your Mum had a lovely birthday. It is very difficult at the moment but I am sure she just enjoyed all the company. My Mother in law's home is closed just now due to a member of staff testing positive, so it is back to window visits. Your card is beautiful, I love the simplicity of it. Take care. Elaine

Awww, Happy Belated Birthday to your Mum Jules! I love how you put her needs/safety first, as it should be but some don't. So good for you and your family for doing that! Yes, one photo is better than none! Such a sweet card, love the garden scene with watering of the flowers. Such a fun and sweet die! I bet your Mum loved it! Glad you are having beautiful weather again. We are too, but think there is rain in the forecast for later in the week. But so nice to just enjoy these gorgeous, sunny days. Soak it all in! Hugs, Brenda
