My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

WOODWARE USA - CHALLENGE #1

Hi Everyone

Thank you all so much for all your good wishes and congratulations on my new DT post with Penny Black @ Allsorts.

I officially take up my post as the September challenge launches (and that won't be long now!!).

Although I made a card with my first Penny Black stamp yesterday I have also acquired quite a collection of Woodware Clear Stamps .. .. mainly because they are so reasonably priced and I can do so much with them. For the same price as one wood mounted stamp you get a whole set .. . quite often including sentiments too.

Anyway whilst having a "hop around" as you do, I found that Woodware actually launched a challenge blog this week.

It is set up a little differently to any I have seen before in that each day a new member of the DT showcases their creation .. .. .. so it is a little like a daily inspirational blog and the work they are showing is great and different to the norm.

For their first week they have inspired people by using specified colours .. .. namely

Kraft(beige), turquoise and red

They also asked if anyone made a creation using this colour combo they would like to have a little "look see" .. .. .. .. .. well I did so they can.. ..

Here is my creation

and the close up

This used:

Backing Papers: Pink Petticoat (including the Kraft paper)
Image and Sentiment: Woodware "FRCL124" Groovy Cats
Fiskars Punch: Threading Water
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents
Diamond Stickles
Ribbon and Buttons from the stash box

No way is this a colour combination I would ever have though of using .. .. but I quite like it and will probably use it again.

Thank you ladies for the inspiration.

If you fancy popping over and having a look you will find the inspirational blog here.

Hope you are having a good weekend.

I have just been to see the bride and groom get married who I did all the wedding stationery for. All very romantic!!

Back home now to make a wedding card ahead of going to the evening reception tonight.

Catch you again tomorrow.

Love Jules xx

So where have I been whilst you have been so busy being creative. I have looked at my blog list everyday this week, I'm sure, and I didn't see a new post from you and now there are multiple ones that I seem to have missed and all of them lovely! I like to play "spot the heart" on your cards and managed to find them all quite easily this time around. Happy crafting, Jules. Hugs, Lesley
