My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Hi Everyone

What a miserable old rainy day it has been today .. .. .. although come early evening Mr Sunshine did show his face for a little while.

I can tell Autumn is on its way as it took a lifetime to get any decent photographs today. Everything kept getting a strange blue hue about it!! What's that all about? Oh I'm not ready for summer to end yet!!

I think it took longer to get half decent pictures than it did to make the actual card I am showing .. .. .. and then Mr Blogger didn't want to upload them. How many tries has it taken!!!

Anyway, enough moaning .. .. here is the most photographed card on my blog .. ..
and the close up

This used:

Image: Hero Arts "E3750" Bride and Groom Hearts (part of a box set of 4 stamps)
Sentiment: Hampton Art Stamps: "19" Love is in the Air
Woodware Corner Punch
ProMarkers
Little Peel Off Dots
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and thread from the stash box

I don't know if anyone else colours their image before they start to put their creation together but I nearly always do and then give myself a huge headache sometimes in trying to find coloured card to match.

Today I just couldn't find anything that looked right so I coloured a border with ProMarkers before mounting everything together .. .. .. like this .. ..

Much quicker than trying to match up with card stock.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Love Jules xx

Simply gorgeous Jules, I love it, that pink is the perfect shade! Yup, I always colour first but often I colour on copy paper( more than 1 image too) then I can see how it'll pan out with my card stock, so you are not alone. I think I may HAVE to have that sentiment:) xxx

A beautiful card Jules,so elegant.
Wow I have learnt something today,I have never thought of making a border with Promarkers to colour match!!! fab Idea,

Yes I am guilty of colouring first and paper matching after,I tend to spend an evening just colouring lots of images in readiness if that makes sense.
Have a fab evening.xxx

Its a beautiful card Jules. Mr blogger has been playing up for days, sometimes just cannot even leave a comment which is annoying. x

I'm glad you persevered with the photographing, Jules, because this is really lovely. Classy and elegant.

I always colour in first, just in case I make a mistake after I've stuck it on the card, and I often use Promarkers to colour card or ribbon, a great way of getting a perfect match. Hope your week's going well. xx

Hiya Jules,
Its absolutely stunning and beautiful colours, i also like the idea of using the promarkers to make a border, the amount of times ive coloured an image in and not the colour card to match but not no more lol Thanks for the tip!!
hugs and xxx

Lovely card, simple and elegant! I need reminders that, sometimes less is more! LOL! It depends on my mood whether I colour first or assemble the card first. Sometimes I'll just sit and colour several images. I call those times "therapy sessions"! ;) Tracy

In case I don't have time for an email before I Issy arrives on Friday and I go to Harrogate on Saturday, I'll be thinking of you this weekend and just know it will be a huge success. Wish I could come see you!

Hi Jules,
What a lovely card. I sometimes colour card with ProMarkers if I don't have any in the right shade, I've also coloured ribbon and flowers. Now I wonder how many different ways we can think of to use our PromMarkers?
