My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

DRESSED UP!

Hi Everyone

Lots and lots and lots of rain here today .. .. my water butt is yet again nearly ready for overflowing along with another huge tub thing we collect in!!  Not only rain but hailstones too that collected in the gutters  -  not for long of course but it was strange to see!!

I have spent quite a bit of the afternoon with my Mum having a good catch up and colouring session.  Lots of lovely images done ready for making up into cards!!

My Mum just doesn't understand though .. .. she sat there watching me and said "Don't you get fed up doing that?"  .. ..  what is she like?   How could anyone tire of colouring gorgeous images?

I took some more wedding samples to show her too as she likes looking at those .. .. these were clearly more up her street and she could understand why I love making those .. .. but probably not so much the colouring!!  Bless!!!!

Anyway, here is my share for today .. .. complete with a bit of colouring LOL!!!

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "2082E" Dressed Up!
Backing Paper:  Pink Petticoat
Core'dinations: Whitewash Collection
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Happy Birthday
Cuttle Bug Die:  Concentric Hearts
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Cord from the Stash Box

I ran the Core'dinations cardstock through the cuttlebug using the embossing folder and then rubbed it with a flat emery board.  Boy what a mess that made .. .. but I like the finished look.

Right that is me for today.  Just time for a bath before a bonus Apprentice programme tonight!!!

I got to see my Big Baby Boy and his wife on the "Your Fired" show last night .. .. it involved a bit of freeze framing but once we spied them it was easier to find them after that.

I'll catch you all again tomorrow.  Enjoy what is left of the evening.

Love

Great card Jules - teddy looks just fine in his brightly coloured neckwear! I love Whitewash paper - but I always end up whiter than the whitewash with the dust!

Ooooh this is lovely Jules! I do have a thing about blue I admit, so am loving the pale blue & white. Great details. Only trouble is now I want some of that white wash card stock!

Gorgeous card Jules. Love the soft colours. You are related to fame!! I loved the show last night, couldn't believe that Nick even likes Jimbo now lol. Rained here all day too but thats the least of our worries as a spate of trouble has broke out. 2 people shot tonight not far from here, very scary:(

Lovely card Jules. I've been making note cards with this little chap this week for a Christmas pressie. The rain today was horrendous, it made me titter to myself about these people who don't carry umbrellas because the sun has come out.

Ahh! He's a cutie Jules and beautifully coloured too, lol! I don't think my Mum gets why I like getting inky either but she keeps pinching the results to hang on her wall or display on her dresser, Ha! Ha!

I know what you mean about the Core'dinations mess too. That dust gets everywhere! Had the same problem myself at the weekend.

Awwwww teddy is just too cute Jules and I love your colouring on him!

Your Mum sounds like mine - my Mum usually watches me crafting and says "you must have got your talent from your grandmother because I don't have the patience for all that" :o)

I love your sanded embossed panel and it looks gorgeous with the blue heart. I kind of get what your mum's saying as I'm not a big colourer either, but it takes all sorts to make the world go round! You certainly make a fantastic job of it! Vx

Oh this is gorgeous Jules. LOVE that cute PB dog. I think it's the "little girl" in us that loves all that colouring-in don't you? It certainly is that way for me! Perhaps I've never grown up?

What a super card Jules, I love your coloured core card too. Have to agree with the dust storm after youve sanded it down though but the effect is often worth the cloud of dust!!
I find it's a bit like inking up my own backing papers, Ive got to be in the mood for it!

Great to know that you spotted your Son and DIL on the show! What great fun that must have been for them! Thank goodness it wasnt my lovely Jim that they went to see ;)
