My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

FLUFFY TATTERED FLORALS

Hi Everyone

You know I find the hardest thing about doing a blog post is thinking up a title for it!!!

Is it just me or does anyone end up torturing their brain over what to call it?  It is so much simpler if you are entering a challenge as you can just put the challenge title in there!!!  That will teach me to make a card .. .. just because I want to try something out

This used:

Image:  Inkadinkado "90355"  (love this stamp.  It doesn't have a name but looks like real lace)
Sentiment:  Hobby Art "CS016D" General Greetings
Sizzix Die:  Tim Holtz Tattered Florals
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Swiss Dots
Martha Stewart Punch:   Doily Lace
Papermania:  Adhesive Pearls and Posh Brad
Distress Ink:  Dusty Concord
Clear Embossing Powder
Vellum
Ribbons and cord from the Stash Box

I cut my tattered florals out of various shades of purple vellum and ran them through my cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder .. .. screwed them up a bit and then attached them all to a brad .. .. but between each of the different flower types I wound some fine feather ribbon that has long strands attached to it. I think it has worked quite well.

I have also been very good and used up a bit of that white snippet card I have.  I stamped the lace image with versafine onyx black ink and embossed it with clear embossing powder.  I then distressed it all with the dusty concord ink .. .. .. and that was just about it other than putting it all together.

So no Apprentice for me tonight .. .. although Big Baby Boy did text me on Monday to tell me that an American Celebrity Apprentice was starting .. .. so of course I am into that now!!!  LOL!!!

Thanks for calling by everyone and for your lovely comments.  I do appreciate them.

Have a lovely evening.

Love

Ooooh Jules this is GORGEOUS !!! I love the flowers you did with the embossed vellum and that thready stuff, it looks so effective.

I've got a card I did for a DT which is published tomorrow and it's all snippets so I will be linking it up to your challenge. I find it is really making me think about using stuff that's already been used before so thank you for making me focus more on that :)

I am so glad I saw a link from Sandra's blog to you.

Love Mandy xxx

The feathery stuff is incredibly effective layered into your flower, especially with that dramatic dark purple. I don't have difficulty with post titles but I never know how to end a post - it would be easier for me to just ramble on and on until everyone just quietly turned the lights off and left! Vx
