My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SNOW VILLAGE

Hi Everyone

Nice and early today with a very quick share of a Christmas card I made today .. .. trying to use a technique that the lovely Di showcased on her blog the other day.

Di used something "other than" glamour dust .. .. and I am thinking that perhaps I should have done the same as mine isn't quite as good as Di's .. .. but still OK!

I will try again with "something else".  LOL!!!

There is now a liberal sprinkling of glitter and sparkle all over the craft pod .. .. .. and me!!!!

So here is my creation:

This used:

Image:  PSX "F-2104"  Snow Village
Sentiment:  Hobby Art Clear Stamps "Christmas Greeting Set"
Backing Paper:  Pink Petticoat
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder:  Snowflakes 2
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Glamour Dust
Double Sided Adhesive Sheet
Diamond Stickles

I love this little image so much.  I bought it second hand from a local craft shop that was closing down last year.  It had been used in craft classes and was parted with for £2.00.  What a bargain!!!

So that is my quick share for today .. .. thank you for all your messages on my new website post of yesterday.  I am pleased that you all liked it .. .. I really appreciate your lovely comments.

I am still having problems leaving some comments and am left wondering whether my words are there to see or not!!  I hope they are!!!

I am in wedding invitation mode at the moment so am off back to those now!!

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Love

Hi, fabby card hun, you can also get the same effect with versamark all over the image, cover it in Stampin Up heat & stick powder, heat, then add dazzling diamonds, heat to stick it - you end getting into a lot less mess and it lasts for ages, Luv Sam x

Hi Jules . . . wonderful glitzy Christmas card. BARGAIN stamp or what?

If you're having trouble with blogger comments (as I was the other day) . . . make sure you're not ticked for "Keep me signed in" when you log in. Once I unticked it again, all worked properly.

Hugs, Sandra x

Hi Jules! It worked just fine - I love it and the stamp is to be envied! The only reason I don't use Glamour Dust is 'cos I'm too mean to use it and save it for little touches here and there :) Got my stuff from Art of Craft - here http://www.art-of-craft.co.uk/acatalog/Other_Embellishments.html It took a bit of finding on their site so that's why I've added the link, 'cept I can't work out how to put a proper link into comments.

Ahem, just ordered some more in case there's a run on it before Christmas - and ended up with another load of stuff in my basket - now how did that happen?! I can't be trusted :( Love, Di xx

Lovely card, Jules - and I was taken with that technique of Di's too, just not tried it out yet. The cool blues are such a nice change from the usual red/green/gold combination. Peeked at your new website and it's fab - fresh, clean , stylish and informative without being too word heavy. Love the photos on the gallery too - a real treat. Elizabeth x

Your little village was a bargain and looks beautiful glittered, another technique to try.
Been sat here on the sofa peering at it though with Hubby looking for the heart and we think we spotted it in the top rt hand corner!!
We don't take much amusing do we!!!
