My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

A THORNY AFFAIR

Hi Everyone

Well did you think I had fallen off the face of the earth ?!?!?

It seems ages since I posted last and yet time has flown by so fast!

I cannot believe how much I have got through this week .. .. I feel a lovely sense of achievement but my list continues to grow!!  (That is a good thing though).  Hubby finds it so amusing (and exhausting) that I wake up every morning mega excited.

Some of my weddings will have come to an end this week and next and one of my "happy couples" will be getting married tomorrow. Fingers crossed for lovely weather and none of this horrid rain we have seen so much of this week.

I have also met up with some "new happy couples" this week so all is looking good on the old wedding front going forward with orders going into the diary for this time next year even before the fayre next month!!   Woo hoo!!!

Tonight though, I found a little time to make a Christmas card especially for Sandra's Rudolph Day Challenge.  There is a fabby prize on offer too if you get chance to play along.

So here is my share:

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "4092K" A Thorny Affair
Sentiment:  Woodware Clear Stamps "FRCL004" Family Christmas
Backing Papers: Dovecraft Vintage "Back to Basics Christmas"
Dovecraft Punch:  Holly
Promarkers and Chalk
Glamour Dust
Cord and Little Red Pom Poms from the Stash Box

The next thing I want to mention is something I am having more and more problems with week by week and that is stupid anonymous messages.  Nothing to do with what I am posting.  Nothing nasty and nothing personal .. .. just stupid annoying messages that are being sent I can only assume for advertising purposes.

In the past I have allowed anonymous comments on my blog .. .. and I have received lovely genuine comments from people who are anonymous .. .. but I'm afraid I am going to have to stop anonymous people being able to leave comments as I cannot be doing with having to vet everything.

Sorry everyone who is anonymous and leaves me proper comments :-(

I am just off to adjust my settings now as yet another has just plinged in!!  GRRRR!!!

Just hoping my changes don't cause any problems.

Have a great evening and weekend everyone.  I hope you find a little bit of crafty time!!

Love

I have had a ton of those messages, mostly selling medicines. They are soooo annoying! But I love your card!!! Hugs, Lesley

Hi Jules, great card - love the hedgehog and the holly leaves and berries are super. You've been kind with the heart today too.

You're couple are not the only ones hoping for good weather this weekend. I'm hoping the weather cheers up for Arihanna's Christening on Sunday - do you think Mother Nature is taking any notice of our wishes :)

Regarding anonymous comments - I get a considerable number - have them filtered to the spam box and happily press the delete button as they are simply a pain ... what would I do with Viagra anyway!!!

Hugs, Elizabeth xx

I love Hedgies and this is gorgeous. Marvellous card. I also get a lot of e-mails telling me that Anonymous has left a message on my blog but they never get past the e-mail and end up in the Spam, Most of mine are for pay day loans or viagara!!

Hello Jules
It sounds like you have been busy.

I love your card, the cute hedgie and the papers are fabulous. The pom poms used as holly berries look gorgeous.

I hope you have a good weekend

Awwwww, your card is beyond adorable! I love all the little embellishments you used--it makes for such a festive card!! And I'm so sorry to hear about your "anonymous problems." :-( I hope you have a great weekend in spite of that!

Hiya Jules,
I had a bit of a time when I received some anon msgs and indeed they were advertising junk! However they seem to have bypassed me now in favour of you so you've done the right thing in thwarting 'em.
Love the card btw.
Cheers,
Elaine

Awhhhh!

This is so cute. Love the PB hedgies, I am so going to have to get some. The papers are lovely and not OTT as some Christmas ones are.

Keep up the good work, especially with the wedding orders. I am sure your invites etc are fabulous, if your general cards are anything to go by, they will be stunning.

Don't work too hard.

Love Sheila x

Jules this is the cutest little guy. Think I have him somewhere stashed in the bin. Love how you him up right & proper with the background papers, and your coloring was great. Had to go back for a sec and check for the heart. But I found it!!! What fun. TFS

How lovely to have had such a productive week, Jules. No wonder you are feeling satisfied. It's great that you are so busy but I'm not surprised, your Wedding stationary is stunning and I think more and more people want handmade and not shop bought these days don't they. Nothing can beat the personal touch.
Love your cute hedgehog too, don't know how you find the time to make ordinary cards too, you must craft in your sleep!!
Enjoy the weekend, if you have time!!
Hugs Lisax

I had to stop Anonymous posting, too. It is so awful that the behaviour of some idiots spoils it for the rest!
