My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

Lovely Babies

Hi Everyone

I have been asked to make some baby cards that are not pink or blue. I didn't realise how few appropriate embellishments I had in my stash collection - all the cute little things I had for babies were "pink or blue".

So without realising it I had gained a challenge.

I decided on pale yellow and produced the following:

As always photographing was not easy but I think I have just about got away with it. I knew when I took the photo last night that it wasn't going to be brilliant, and secretly hoped I might get another shot in this morning .. .. .. .. but no hope. It is lashing it down with rain here this morning and as dull as you can imagine.

My card used:

Images - Washing line - from "Forever Friends"
Butterflies - from the Penny Black "Critter Party"
Sentiment - Elzybells
Papers - Background paper - Funky Fairy "Gorjuss Ginghams"
Paper piecing - Free Designer Paper Collection from Simply Cards & Papercraft
Brads, flower, thread and ribbon from the stash box

It may not show up very well on the photograph but I have stitched a washing line for the clothes with some white and metallic thread.

I love this washing line stamp. I can see me doing this card again in different colour variations etc. I sadly really enjoyed cutting the clothes out and sticking them on the line - it reminded me of the happy days when my boys were "dinky". I used to love filling the washing line with their little clothes and watching them blowing in the wind. (I was sad even in those days).

Multiple hearts on this card - babies deserve lots of them!!

Have a great day everyone. I hope your weather is better than what I have here. I wouldn't get baby washing dry here today!!!

Take care.

Love Jules xx

Lovely card Jules and I think the washing line with little clothes on is just right.

I too love to see the washing blowing in the breeze, got all mine dry yesterday and it smells so mmmmmmmmm when it's dried outside.

What a great card Jules. I love lemon for baby cards and gingham most especially.

Not sure where abouts you are but probably not a million miles from me 'cos it's lashing down here as well.

Ahh, this is so sweet! Love the paper piecing for the dinky little clothes, what a fab idea. The colour scheme really works too, it will really stand out in a sea of pink or blue! Nicki, xx.
