My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

TELL IT TO ME STRAIGHT!!!

Hi Everyone

Some help needed tonight please. I have been asked to make a birthday card for a Goth.

According to my son because of the recipients choice in music it makes them a "Punky Goth".

Way out of my depth here .. .. .. the only Goth's I know are the ones that appeared in Coronation Street!!

Anyway, I have created the following. Does this count???!?!?! Is this a good Goth card? Please let me know. It is for a 19 - 20 year old female to receive from her Auntie.

To make this card I have used:

Image: Digi download from Charmed Cards "Holly & Madison"
Backing paper: Funky Hand "Salt and Pepper" download
Sentiment: Computer generated
Fiskars small heart punch
Nail Heads from Josy Rose

Come on then bloggy mates .. .. .. .. is the recipient going to be pleased?

Is there anything else I can add? Is it too bright and not black enough?

Please tell!!

Love the Holly & Madison download .. .. there are lots of images in the download suitable for many different occassions .. .. .. .. .. oh I can remember when my waist looked like that!!! (Many, many years ago I hasten to add).

Love Jules xx

I think it's a great card Jules, but my knowledge of goths is as limited as yours so I can't really help you I'm afraid.

Hi Jules it looks just perfect to me like the others I am not really into the Goth look but from what I have heard and seen on Hollyoaks it looks just about right. I am also wondering what a waist is I lost mine some time ago now and unfortunately it will never come back lol.

Hey Jules,

there are loads of different goth styles - some of which can actually be quite colorful! Punk goth might actually use bright neon colors as accents, but I think you've nailed this card really well! The metal brads are nice and suit the theme well and the picture is just perfect! It really makes the little goth girl still living inside me hummmm :) I used to look like that - skinny puppy with biiiig army boots and black clothes :)

And I gotta love the font :D

xx,
nunt

I think this is spot on Jules. I've only known a couple of Goths but I know they would have loved your card.

I too can remember having a waist like that! Those were the days!
