My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

MIMI LOVE

Hi Everyone

Happy Tuesday .. .. I hope your day has been a good one and the snow isn't causing you too many problems.

We haven't had any fresh snow today which is something.  I did need to walk round to the post box today though and that was a "hairy scary process".  Because we are on a school route the kids slide along the pavement and make them a bit treacherous .. .. but kids will be kids I suppose and we all did it!!

So I gingerly walked round to the post box and I could hear my Mum shouting in my ear as she would have done a few lifetimes ago saying "Take your hands out of your pockets .. .. how will you save yourself if you fall" .. .. so I was a good girl and took my hands out of my pockets LOL!!!

Anyway, today's share uses a super cute image I won from Sketch Saturday/The Stamp Fairy just before Christmas.

This used:

Image:  The Stamp Fairy "Mimi Love"
Sentiment:  Computer Generated using font "2 Peas Barefoot Professor"
Backing Papers:  Pink Petticoat "Little Polka Dots" and "Chevrons" both still £1 a download!!!
Nestabilities:  Classic Circle and Scalloped Circle
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Ribbon
ProMarkers and Chalk
Glossy Accents
My Trust Sewing Machine

Now I have had this card made for a while today standing up looking at me .. .. and have to admit I struggled with the fact that my little girl didn't have a smile.  I don't know why but I just can't feel comfortable when my images are mouthless .. ..  so I had to add one along with some rosy cheeks.

That's better!!!  Sorry Gerda :-(  I hope you don't mind xx

You wouldn't believe how many pencil mouths she has had rubbed off her face before I was happy .. .. then I had to hold my breath and go over this one with a pen.  I fully expected to ruin my card .. .. and some might say I have!!

Enjoy what is left of Tuesday everyone.

Love

This is really lovely and I am so glad that you let her have a mouth. I cannot stand the images where there is no mouth. The papers are gorgeous and after your card yesterday I bought some of these beautiful papers.

Jules, your card is so very sweet. The graphic is darling and your coloring...wow.....There is so much to look at, I love the sewn layers. Oh how I envy your talent! The colors you chose are so eye calming (is that an artistic phrase...it is now) Lovely, very, very lovely!

I was just thinking how brave you were! I would have ruined her for sure. Note to self...draw the mouth before coloring. LOL. And she turned out perfectly and looks much better with a smile. Don't we all!

I'm with you on the 'mouth' thing - Tilda & Co scare me to death!Great card for a little girl - your Mum would have sent you this when you were younger I think - cos you've been a good girl! LOL

This is such a sweet card and image. I haven't made any for a while but I always have put a mouth on the Tilda stamps - just doesn't seem right without to me either.
Well I finally got out today. Took me ages to de-snow the car. It's still 6 inches deep on the pavement and packed snow on the road but once I made it up to the main roads they were clear. At least the parrots won't go without now - it was getting a bit desperate.

Gorgeous card Jules - so fresh looking. The addition of little mouth (and nostrils) are perfect.

Laughed aloud at the thought of you out in the snow waving a fish slice - it takes a woman to think outside the box!!

Hugs, Di xx

What a lovely card for a little girl Jules (mind you big girls would love it too ;)) I think she looks great with a smile. I have been practising my colouring on some stamped Tilda images but I have never been brave enough to add a smile, i just know I would definitely ruin it lol.

Have a great day,

Beautiful colours Jules, so fresh and bright. She definitely needs a mouth, don't like the ones without. Those well know ones without mouths look like baby hippos to me!!!

She looks adorable with her new little smile!
What a great image...I need to learn from you...that splash of colour from the ribbon looks so great. I would never have thought of that...I would have picked something blending in and it would have blended into the woodwork.
Must remember...use a splash of colour...as this is very effective!
