A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

FESTIVE ANIMALS

Hi Everyone

I hope your Easter Monday has gone well.

Today saw me making the third of my April Christmas cards .. .. just two to go and I'm not halfway through the month yet!!  Woo hoo!!

This is for taking over to Fezziwigs Festive Frolics Challenge where the theme for this fortnight calls for "Festive Animals".

This used:

Image:   Penny Black "1508K" Caroling Hedgehogs
Sentiment:  Kaisercraft "CS188" North Pole
Backing Papers:  From the Christmas Snippets Box
ProMarkers
Nail Heads
Ribbon
My Trusty Sewing Machine

Many thanks to everyone who has been enquiring as to how my Mum is doing.  I am pleased to say she is really well thank you.  We decided not to take her out over six weeks ago now and feel it was definitely the right thing to do.  She has however been getting quite "fed up" being "cooped up" for all of this time.  Most of all she has been missing her walks out, and being able to see such lovely sunshine and not go out in it hasn't helped.

We kept asking if there is anything she would like whilst she is "confined to barracks".  I suggested talking books but that went down like a lead balloon.  Then the other day she told my Sister she would like a Playstation!

She used to have one many years ago but parted with it when she got RSI in her thumbs through playing it too much !!!

So my Sister got one on order for her and set it all up on Good Friday .. .. .. downloading some of Mum's favourite games from the past.  Mum is now in her element and hopefully her days will be a little more enjoyable when we aren't able to be with her.  Can't be bad can it .. .. at 89 years old. If you could see her with the controls I find it unbelievable .. .. she doesn't even have to look at the buttons .. .. unlike me!!  LOL!!   Hope she doesn't give herself RSI again though!!!

Anyway, take care everyone.  I hope your Easter hasn't been too bad .. .. .. we won't forget this one  in a hurry will we .. .. if ever !!!

Super card - those hedgies appear in such interesting guises don't they and are always good. Pleased to hear that I'm not the only 'old lady' who loves a bit of gaming, brilliant that you could set your Mum up with Playstation. My excuse is that it is good for hand-eye coordination and so on!!!

I love this gorgeous Christmas card Jules. I really like the papers you've used in the background.

My mum (also 89) has not been out for about two years, refuses to go out even if you ask her, but with this lockdown she is now complaining that she can't go out. The only thing she has done for the two years is watch TV, now that's not good enough either. I expect when this is all over she still won't go out and still sit in front of the TV all day.

Take care and stay safe

A lovely cute card Jules - PB images are always so sweet.

What fun for your mum to have a Playstation again - I'm sure it will help pass the time for her.

Well done to your Mum Jules, I wouldn't have a scooby how to work a play station, and if it helps her through the enforced isolation that's just brilliant.
Your card is adorable, love the image and the music score in the background is such a lovely touch. Keep sane and safe, Kate x

Oh your card is super, what a lovely stamp and I adore the colour scheme you have gone for. Well Done to your Mum for getting a playstation, no way could my Gran at the same age manage that, she has issues with the TV remote some days!! My Dad is starting to feel cooped up. He got to escape this morning for a Doctors appointment! Thanks for playing along with me over on Fezziwigs this fortnight, stay safe, Love Hazelxx

Love those cute characters Jules and the pretty icy design. How brilliant that your Mum is a whizz on the Playstation, I hope she won't be staying up too late trying to conquer the next level!! Crash Bandicoot was a particular favourite of mine when the boys were small!! Happy days!! xx
