My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well and coping OK.

I have spent quite a while with Mum today and once home I wanted to have a play with an idea that has been running round my head for a while using a stamp set that was attached to a craft magazine I bought quite a few weeks ago now.  You know .. ..way back when you could wander aimlessly around the store, walking in any direction you want to, having your pick of the whole store without an empty shelf in sight.

Oh Memory Lane is a lovely place isn't it?  But those days will come back again .. .. and hopefully sooner rather than later!

Anywyay, this is what my playing resulted in:

This used:

Image and Sentiment:  Magazine Covergift
Memento Ink Pad:  London Fog  (but any light coloured ink pad would work)
VersaMark Ink Pad
Gold Embossing Powder
ProMarkers
Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I stamped the image first using the London Fog ink pad, coloured the image with ProMarkers then stamped again using the VersaMark Ink Pad and heat embossed with gold embossing powder.

A stamping platform makes really easy work of ensuring your VersaMark Ink stamps exactly on top of the London Fog ink.  I am guessing a stamp positioner would work just as well.

So short and sweet from me today and hopefully I will be back again tomorrow.

Take care everyone and be warned .. .. .. the shops were manic again today.

Beautiful colouring on this pretty card and thanks for the handy tip about adding the embossed outline after colouring. Missing my 'fix' of seeing the craft mags with tempting freebies - a sort of mixed blessing I guess. Can't buy them if I don't see them. Have a good weekend, albeit not the normal sort of Bank Holiday break.

Very pretty card Jules love your choice of colours and your gold embossing the stitching around your card is so beautifully straight...

Our local fish and chip shop are open for a short while today on a click & collect basis which is great my SIL will be delivering them for us...so hopefully we can still have our fish on Good Friday.

Have a lovely weekend at home..

This is lovely, the fruit salad colours look amazing and the gold adds a lovely touch of opulence. I have yet to have the pleasure of a supermarket shop as I had a few Tesco delivery slots booked pre-lockdown which I have been sharing with my Mum. Unlikely to get any more before christmas I shouldn't wonder!! Hope you have a good weekend xx
