My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

THE REASON

Hi Everyone

I hope your weekend went well and you are now ready for facing a brand new sparkly week!

Mine was very full on with wedding work and other projects and when we finally sat down last night after our evening meal, instead of getting a card finished and posted to my blog .. .. I fell asleep on the sofa until the early hours!  Tut tut!!

So this is the card I was going to post .. .. ..  .. .. which is for taking over to Fezziwigs Christmas Frolics Challenge where this fortnight Hazel is looking for cards that relate to the Christmas Story .. .. as in the Nativity.

This used:

Image & Sentiment:  A download from the SC SVG Shop on Etsy
Backing Papers:  From my snippet collection
Distress Inks:  Squeezed Lemon, Fossilized Amber, Stormy Sky and Chipped Sapphire
Duster Brushes
Metallic Ribbon
Gold Glamour Dust
My Trusty Sewing Machine

To add the colour to my image I printed it twice.  Once onto card and then onto copy paper.  From the copy paper version I cut away the centre section, so I ended up with two masks.

The outer section so I could colour just the inside of the stable, and then the small centre mask so I could colour the outside.

So there we are, my second Christmas card for June .. .. .. I thought I would get it posted before I fall asleep again LOL!!

Have a good day everyone!   I am off to Mum's in a bit to see what jobs I can do for her.

I'll catch you with a teeny tiny make tomorrow.

This is lovely and a clever bit of masking. I keep meaning to say how much I like your 'set' when you photograph your cards, especially the great selection of flowers you use to enhance the photo.

A really lovely creation, super papers and a really lovely image with a gret background too. Like the addition of the gold sparkly ribbon.
No wonder when I checked your blog last night all I heard was snoring.

Such a beautiful card Jules, it's a shame we don't see more of these traditional Christmas cards. You must have need that sleep yesterday evening.

You must have needed that sleep badly Jules, so I'm glad you were able to get it! Our bodies don't sleep unless it needs it. I love, love, love your card! I love seeing the true meaning of Christmas, even though I adore other Christmas cards too. Love the papers you used and that beautiful gold ribbon. I also love how you put the yellow in the stable as if the star is shinning brightly just like that historical night! Gorgeous! Hugs, Brenda
