My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

WHAT A LOVELY DAY!!

Hi Everyone

Well what a wonderful day I have had .. .. .. it has been one of those very rare, and very special days that seems to go on for ever and ever .. .. ..  I have got so much done it is unbelievable.  Why can't every day be like today?

I have kept looking at the clock expecting it to be really late .. .. and even now I am dead excited that it isn't bed time yet!!

A couple of shares for you today.

These are Christmas Word Books made with the new downloads from Funky Hand .. .. .. you can find them here

Alongside the word book download come some lovely "alphabits" .. .. ..  and I used these for the words on my books.  I really love them and they are starting to appear on lots of things I am making at the moment.

Here are my little books.  This one is for putting special Christmas photographs into .. .. I wish I had made these when my boys were growing up .. .. I could have done one for each year and looked back at each year.

This uses the "Trendy" download.

The next one is for putting my favourite Christmas recipes in .. .. you notice I have only mentioned cakes and puds LOL!!!  This used the "Traditional" download.

So that is me for today.  I will be back bright and early tomorrow with my DT creation for Penny Black at Allsorts as we have another challenge kicking off.

Then Saturday .. .. which is National Cardmaking Day .. .. I will share my card for the new Get Funky! Challenge.

It seems a shame to cram them both onto one post.

Have a lovely evening everyone.  I hope you have all enjoyed your day as much as I have.

TIPSY TREE

Hi Everyone

Is your weather as wet and miserable as mine?

It is too wet here to even venture down the garden to remove the cobweb that the huge spider makes across the doorway of my greenhouse.  Every day I have to break his web so I can get in .. .. .. and every day the big fat chappie has re-spun it.  I'm sure he must be feasting on my tomatoes as he is bigger every day!!!   It does make me feel cruel when I break his web but I still have loads and loads of tommies left on my plants .. .. and I need to look after them!!!.

Anyway, Christmas card mode continues in the house of hearts and here is today's share ... ..

and the close up

This used:

Image and Sentiment:  Woodware "JGCL529" Tipsy Tree
Backing Paper:  Funky Fairys Papercraft (sadly no longer in business)
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Glamour Dust
Waste dots off an old peel off sheet

I love this little tree and can see me doing lots with it.  It is also the first time I have used my gold glamour dust (only had it a year LOL!!).

Hope you likey, likey.

OLDIE BUT A GOODIE CHALLENGE 2

Hi Everyone

I thought it would be nice to play along with a new challenge today .. .. unfortunately I missed the first challenge .. .. but at least I am here for number 2.

The Challenge is called "Oldie But A Goodie". The idea of the challenge is that you use your old and neglected stamps (as if we have any ?!?!?!?? LOL!!!) with an old stamp being something that is at least 6 months old.

The theme this week is "Pink and Girly" and you can find the challenge blog here.

Here is my Pink and Girly Creation

along with a close up

and a close up of my little heart .. .. because I love it so much!!!  I made it with shrink plastic.

My creation used:

Image:  The Greeting Farm "Miss Anya Collection"
Sentiment:  Woodware Clear Stamps "FRCL128" Circular Greetings
Heart:  Woodware Clear Stamps "HMCL401" Modern Hearts Set
Backing Papers:  Funky Hand CD Dreams Come True
Nestabilities:  Standard Circles Large and Classic Scalloped Circles Large
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Woodware Multihead Flower Punch
Brad and Cord from the stash box

Great idea for a challenge blog theme ladies .. .. a good reason to look at our stamps a bit differently and no pressure to feel we have to have new stash.

Have a good Tuesday everyone.

CHRISTMAS HERE I COME

Hi Everyone

Well here I am trying to do my first post on my "new look" blog.  Fingers crossed that everything works as it should.

As I warned you I am going to be heavily into Christmas now .. .. but I will try and post some non-Christmas creations too .. .. just to break up the boredom for you LOL!!!

Personally I never tire of making Christmas cards .. .. I love making them .. .. and it has been great to get all my Christmas stash out.  A bit like having a whole new set of toys to play with.

So here is today's creation

and the close up

This used:

Image:  Penny Black "4008J" Overdressed Duck
Snowflake Background:  "J75" Great Impressions
Sentiment:  Hobby Art Clear:  "CS009D" Christmas Greetings
Backing Paper:  Flower Soft "Vintage Papers"
Martha Stewart Punch:  Traditional Scallop
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Ranger:  Embossing Tinsel "Bridal"
Cuttlebug Snowflake Die
ProMarkers
Glossy Accents
Glamour Dust
Gem and Ribbon from the Stash Box

I used the Rangers Embossing Tinsel to heat emboss the snowflakes on the scalloped card  - you can see this best on the close up photograph I think.

Thank you for all your lovely messages yesterday on my new look blog .. .. I really enjoyed making it look different once I "got brave".

When I did my first change though I have to admit I did close my eyes as I pressed the "Save Changes to Blogger" button .. .. and then peeped with just one eye!!!  LOL!!!  What am I like!!

WOO HOO .. .. BRAVE ME!!!

Tee hee!!!

Brave me .. .. ..I think I have done what I wanted to do!!!!  Just hope it looks the same when I come back later LOL!!!

The first steps on re-vamping my blog .. .. .. just need to work out how to get my header right across the page.
Can do BIG photographs now .. .. mmmm....  perhaps a little too big!!  We shall see.

Oh I am so excited!!  What am I like?

Have a lovely day everyone and thanks for all your help and encouragement in changing my look.

MERRY KISSMAS

Hi Everyone

Well I think it is time I seriously got into Christmas card mode .. .. so you might get a bit fed up of seeing them on my blog for a while.

I have another two craft fairs coming up in a few weeks, as well as my regular customers, and Christmas is going to be the main thing folks will need .. .. so Christmas here I come.  What a good job I love it so much!!!

So that means today you need to suffer a Christmas card from me LOL!!!

and the close up

This used:

Image:  Stampavie "GR003" - Mistletoe and Mice
Sentiment:  Unmounted Stamp Company "USC TX15 "Merry Kissmas"
Backing Paper:  DCWV Rose Tinted Christmas
Martha Stewart Punch:  Stars
Hobby Craft Punch:  Small Snowflake
ProMarkers
Ribbon and Cord from the stash box

So that is me for today.

I have been looking into changing the layout/look of my blog but it all looks a bit too daunting.  I think it will be staying as it is for a long while to come!!  LOL!!

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

FRIDAY IS HERE AGAIN !!

Hi Everyone

I have a quick share .. .. that I had no idea what to call .. .. hence the title being a reminder that it is Friday .. .. just in case anyone didn't know LOL!!!

Here is my share:

and the close up

This used:

Image: Hero Arts "S5316" Silhouette Grass
Backing Papers: Papermania "Chatsworth Vintage Collection"
Sizzix Die: "656079" Flower Layers
Martha Stewart Punch: Frond
Embossing Powder: Stampendous! "Penny Copper"
Eyelets, Brad and Ribbons from the stash box

I had no idea how this card was going to turn out when I started .. .. but in my head it was going to be shades of blue and purple!!! Not sure what happened there?!?!?

I keep trying to make myself be brave and change the layout of my blog so that it is super-wide and fills my screen. Has anyone changed from my style of blog to the type I am describing? Was it easy? I am just paranoid that I am going to mess everything up and lose my blog and its contents.

Have a lovely Friday evening and a great weekend everyone.

IN THE PINK

Hi Everyone

Well first things first .. .. .. last night's fish and chips in newspaper .. .. .. they were fantastic!!! They did come on a plate but the fish and chips were nestled inside greaseproof paper and newspaper .. .. .. a bit like and upside down paper boat. The mushy peas and tartare sauce came in little dishes alongside the paper nest.

Mmmmm... ... I am making myself hungry again thinking about them .. .. .. and to finish everything off nicely the lights were all twinkling along the waterfront. What a lovely night.

Now round to my (pink) share of the day

This used:

I think this is one of my favourite LOTV images.

Catch you again tomorrow.

Thank you for calling by and for all your lovely comments.  I do appreciate them.

GOLDEN WEDDING ANNIVERSARY

Hi Everyone

A quick share of a Golden Wedding Anniversary card I have been asked to make.

Quite a simple style but one I like.

The backing paper is super special and has a lovely golden shine to it without being "too much". Hopefully you will be able to see this in the close up photograph below.

Here is the creation:

and the close up

This used:

Backing Paper: Craft Creations
Sentiment: Computer Generated
Cuttlebug: Heart and Embossing folder
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
Martha Stewart Punch: Traditional Scallop
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and Cord from the stash box

And that is it - a bit earlier today.

Sorry to be rushing but I have a lot to fit in as tonight hubby and I are off out with my Auntie and Uncle to a lovely restaurant at the side of a canal. Because it will be dark it will be all lit up with lights strewn across the waterfront so it should be quite magical.

We have all already made our choice of what we want .. .. .. fish and chips (which are served in newspaper)!!!!

Aren't I a cheap date? Fish and chips in newspaper, a few light bulbs, good company and I'm happy!!! LOL!!!

Have a good evening everyone.

BLACK CARD AND AN OLD PAPERBACK

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well.

The weather has been really lovely here today .. .. I hope it has been where you are too. It certainly makes you feel so good doesn't it?

The only thing I haven't liked though are all the cobwebs that seem to be all over my garden .. .. how many have I walked into today? They seem to be trailing all over the place. I'm just hoping the spiders haven't clung on to me as I have accidentally walked through them? Yuk!!!

I have spent the day catching up on DT work today ready for October. I always feel better when I know I have done these and am happy with them :-)

So after those I decided an experiment was in order .. .. .. could I make something with just a piece of card and an old paperback book?

The answer .. .. well "yes".. .. .. and here it is (showcasing the friend I purchased to go alongside my much loved tattered florals .. .. .. tattered leaves).

Mustn't show hubby this though or he might decide I don't need any more backing papers!! LOL!!!

But you can see .. ..

and the close up

This used:

Sizzix Dies: 656640 "Tattered Florals" and 656927 "Tattered Leaves"
Black Card
An Old Paperback Book
Distress Inks
Clear Embossing Powder
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
Ribbon and Brad from the stash box

I was really pleased with the finished result from a colour and texture point of view. Not sure anyone would actually want to receive it though LOL!!

The various layers of the flower and the leaves were coloured with distress inks.

I heat embossed the leaves by stamping the whole leaf shape with a clear versamark ink pad and heat embossed it using clear embossing powder. Before the powder had time to dry I dipped it in embossing powder again and kept repeating this until I had a lovely gloss on the leaves.

Hopefully you can see the gloss on the close up photograph above. (You have to be careful you don't burn your fingers when doing this .. .. but I love the finished look).

Catch you again tomorrow.

THE NON-COLLECTED CARD

Hi Everyone

Well the card which wasn't collected from the Festival yesterday photographed quite well so I thought I would share this with you today.

I don't mind that it wasn't collected .. .. .. .. at least the lady didn't come and look at it and say she didn't want it .. .. that would hurt far more LOL!!!

Here is the make:

and the close up

This used:

Image and Sentiment: Butterfly Kisses "A2C1015" Hello Baby!
Backing Papers: Pink Petticoat
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Charm, ribbon and cord from the stash box

Not a bad photograph for saying it had to be taken very early morning.

Lots of clearing up happening in the house of hearts today. The old housework has taken somewhat of a "back seat" whilst preparing for the Festival so I have been making things clean and sparkly again alongside printing off backing papers and working on little favour boxes for a wedding in a couple of weeks.

I can't believe what a mess I had made of the place LOL!!!

Have a good evening everyone and hopefully I will be calling by your blog soon!!!

THE FESTIVAL IS OVER :-(

Hi Everyone

A very late report on today .. .. .. it has taken a while to get home LOL!!

The place that we sold our wares in over the weekend is normally the hair salon that my lovely Sis and her partner own .. .. .. so before we left it had to be transformed back so it was ready for "hair" business. Chairs and computers and hair products all needed to be put back into place.

My Sister and I always love the Festival and are always sad when it is over .. .. but this year it felt different because we have arranged another two craft fairs .. .. 4 weeks until our next adventure into somewhere new!! Yay!!

We are looking to try and do one a month so that it is never long until our next one. My Sister makes those beautiful bridal bags that you saw yesterday but also handbags too so we go out and about as a little joint venture. We love spending time together .. .. we are so alike and best mates. I love her to pieces!!

This Festival has been our best yet. We have done 4 in total now and each year just gets better and better.

My lady didn't return for the Christening card I made especially for her last night .. .. typical. But never mind.

So we got back to "near" home and my lovely hubby decided we should celebrate a good weekend with a quick drink and a Chinese takeaway.

Lovely, but the sad part is that people at my local and at the Chinese clearly haven't seen me for so long they wondered where I had been and made a joke that it must be my birthday to be out and about .. .. .. note to self .. .. .. .. spend more time socialising with my hubby!!!!
So just about to settle into my food and a bottle of red.

No pictures but I will be back with a creation .. .. which might be the non-collected christening card if the photographs I took in a rush this morning worked out OK.

My knees were fine today. They must have got over the shock.
So sorry, still no blog hopping .. .. .. but I will put this to rights over the next couple of days.

Hope your weekend was good.

REPORTING IN

Hi Everyone

Well the Festival has gone well today.

I got home around 6.45pm and went straight into a hot bubbly bath to try and help my very aching knees!! LOL!!! I have been on my feet since 8.30am (except when I escaped to the cafe for a quick jacket potato with cheese and salad ... yummy).

We have had a good day - even though it did rain a little this afternoon.

The weather forecast isn't too good for tomorrow but hopefully it won't put people off.

I did gain some extra display space today so put some of my wedding stationery on show in a cabinet alongside some bridal bags that my lovely Sis had made. We are hoping to hit the wedding market together.

I took a quick photo to share with you but it is all a bit busy. If you look closely at my Sister's bags you will see lots of little beads .. .. she has sat and stitched all of those on by hand !!!!

Once home I made a quick make .. .. I was having withdrawal symptoms all day .. .. but it was too dark to photograph this evening. The creation was for a lady that is calling back tomorrow. She wanted a Christening card for her nephew. I hope she collects it as it took mega effort .. .. .. I could so easily have just flopped on the sofa and done nothing after my bath! I have been getting up far too early all week and must admit I have a bit of sleep to catch up on LOL!!!

Anyway here is the photo

This used (LOL!!)

A lot of love, enjoyment and patience

So back to the Festival tomorrow morning. I dread to think how my knees will feel by tomorrow evening!!!

I hope you have all had a good day today too.

Sorry about not catching up with everyone's blogs. Hopefully tomorrow evening I can put this to rights (if I can stay awake long enough).

Thank you for all your good wishes for the Festival both here and via email .. .. .. I do have such lovely blog friends and I do appreciate you all very much.

A LITTLE BIRD

Hi Everyone

Today's share is a birthday card for one of our good friends who will be celebrating his special day on Sunday.

We have just been and delivered his card and present to him in readiness .. .. but I know that he won't be checking my blog so I am safe in sharing.

Here is the share

and the close up

This used:

Sentiment: Inkadinkado "97856-MM"
Backing Papers: DCWV "The Green Stack"
Sizzix Die: "655903" Bird Baby
Martha Stewart Punch: Embossed Zig Zag
Woodware Leaf Punch
Distress Ink: Tea Dye
Raffia from the stash box

I love the card in this stack. As you can see from the close up, as well as having gorgeous patterns they are beautifully textured and the punches love them too!!

We did actually alter the card once I had photographed it and before we handed it over. Our friend is Scottish and when he says the word "bird" it actually sounds like he is saying "bod" - so we crossed out the "i and the r" and added a "o" above instead.

So off now to do my final packing up for the Festival tomorrow/Sunday. I will give you a progress report tomorrow evening. We are just hoping the weather is kind to us .. .. but it doesn't sound very promising.

Have a good weekend everyone whatever you are up to.

Love Jules xx

p.s. I can't believe it!!! Hubby has switched the central heating on!!! It's still September!!!

AN EXCITING DAY

Hi Everyone

I will warn you before I start that there is going to be a lot of rambling tonight along with a very rubbish photograph .. .. but I am mega excited about my achievements for the day.

As some of you will know I have a stand at the two day Melbourne Festival this weekend. Normally I take just cards with me .. .. but now I am into weddings as well I decided it would be good if I could show a few samples of my work off in this area too.

I won't have them on show as I don't have enough space to do a full blown wedding display .. .. .. .. so I decided the next best thing would be to take photographs and display them on a digital photo frame (I will have the samples in a box if anyone is interested). Worth a try.

So today was the day for doing this!!

First problem being, I don't have a digital photo frame. So I go on line to find that Jessops are selling a Sony 7" frame - should be £49 but reduced to £20. So I reserve it on line .. .. get to the part where I am agreeing to pay the £20 when it asks me if I have a voucher code to enter. .. .. .. .. .. mmm .. .. .. no voucher code but perhaps I could search for one ... ...yeah .. .. 10% off voucher code available. Great.

I enter this in my order box and now my digital frame has been reduced still further to £18.00 !!! Bargain or what.

So now to filling it with photographs.

I started by raiding the local florist to get just "odd" flowers in the shades I wanted so I could do some little displays.

No cream roses, and no cream anything available .. .. .. but she did have some special roses which had come in for a wedding order.

From out the back of the shop she produced the most gorgeous rose - a very "dirty brown/pink" colour .. .. which sounds disgusting but was really beautiful.

Guess how much for one rose .. .. .. £3.25!! I told her I would leave that but thank you for trying .. .. .. I dread to think how much the bride will be paying for a bouquet and buttonholes full of those roses!!

So a lovely little mixture of flowers and off I go home. Anyone seeing me leaving the shop would think I was colour blind judging by the strange array of colours I had purchased.

Now to set up my displays. Not easy - especially as today has been very dull. So I practically wrecked the dining room in an attempt to get some decent light in. All the curtains came down - chairs on the table for me to drape a backdrop over and props everywhere.

So a day of photograph taking - not brilliantly as I don't have the best equipment in the world - but I had great fun and was pleased with the results and even managed to get them onto my frame ready for the weekend. Yay!!

So no makes today .. .. .. except a huge mess in the dining room. But here is the awful photograph of my bargain frame with one of my photographs. It was pot luck which one you got to see!!

Sorry the picture is so rubbish.

Right, off to tidy up now then!! LOL!! Hubby couldn't believe his eyes when he came home!!!

Have a lovely evening everyone.

Love Jules xx

MAKE A WISH

Hi Everyone

Well the weather hasn't been quite so bad today .. .. .. but the rain has just made a very sudden appearance and I have got well drenched dashing to the washing line to rescue the now "wet again" laundry!! LOL!!!

Just a quick share today using one of my favourite Penny Black stamps (have I perhaps said that before? I think I might have).

I used to have this image in a set of clear stamps from Penny Black but it is quite a bit smaller .. .. so small in fact that it has gone AWOL. No-doubt it will make an appearance one day somewhere strange .. .. along with a little acrylic heart stamp that has also disappeared.

So using the big version of the stamp here is my share of the day

and close up

This used:

Image: Penny Black: "1665K" Cheesecake party
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
Backing Papers: Funky Hand CD "Dreams Come True"
Martha Stewart Punch: Traditional Scallop
X-Cut Punch: Small Flower
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Diamond Stickles
Cord from the stash box

So that is me for today.

I am just in the process of making up some wedding stationery samples and my better half has kindly volunteered to do the evening meal so I can crack on with them .. .. .. what a lucky sausage I am.

Have a great evening.

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Hi Everyone

What a miserable old rainy day it has been today .. .. .. although come early evening Mr Sunshine did show his face for a little while.

I can tell Autumn is on its way as it took a lifetime to get any decent photographs today. Everything kept getting a strange blue hue about it!! What's that all about? Oh I'm not ready for summer to end yet!!

I think it took longer to get half decent pictures than it did to make the actual card I am showing .. .. .. and then Mr Blogger didn't want to upload them. How many tries has it taken!!!

Anyway, enough moaning .. .. here is the most photographed card on my blog .. ..
and the close up

This used:

Image: Hero Arts "E3750" Bride and Groom Hearts (part of a box set of 4 stamps)
Sentiment: Hampton Art Stamps: "19" Love is in the Air
Woodware Corner Punch
ProMarkers
Little Peel Off Dots
Crystal Stickles
Ribbon and thread from the stash box

I don't know if anyone else colours their image before they start to put their creation together but I nearly always do and then give myself a huge headache sometimes in trying to find coloured card to match.

Today I just couldn't find anything that looked right so I coloured a border with ProMarkers before mounting everything together .. .. .. like this .. ..

Much quicker than trying to match up with card stock.

Have a lovely evening everyone.

BUSY BEE

Good Morning

I am bright and early today .. .. and needing to be a busy bee .. .. just like this cute little Penny Black image.

I have made a good start on the day and this is my first make.

and the close up

This used:

Image: Penny Black "2243K" Bee Costume
Backing Papers and Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
Martha Stewart Punches: Daisy and Frond
Woodware Flower Punches
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Glamour Dust
Crystal Stickles
Cord and brads from the stash box

I don't actually own this lovely image. I pinched a few impressions from my lovely DIL when she visited last weekend .. .. (thanks Cat xx). Yet another stamp that has gone onto my "one day I would like" list. LOL!!!

Wishing you all a lovely Monday.

NO IMAGE TO COLOUR AND A SPECIAL BUY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have had a lovely Sunday.

It has been gorgeous here today .. .. albeit a little on the breezy side.

I have been busy sorting out my stock ready for the Craft Festival at the weekend. There is still a lot I want to do in readiness. One minute I feel I am ready and then I put myself under added pressure by wanting to do something else as well .. .. .. but I have never been one to give myself an easy life or be satisfied with what I have done LOL!!!

Here is a quick make which sadly didn't have a picture to colour. Just a bit of promarker ink to the letters and that was it .. .. .. though there is perhaps a little bit too much pink and sparkle .. .. but someone who loves pink will think it's great.

and the close up

This used:

Image: Inkadinkado "97145-P"
Backing Papers: DCWV "Black and White Prints"
Go Create: Cutting Frame "151005"
ProMarker (just the one LOL!)
Glamour Dust
Sticky back gems
Ribbon from the stash box
It is hard to capture all the sparkle on this creation. There is glamour dust all around the edge of the embossed edge of the white centre sentiment and on the ribbons of the sentiment .. .. but you just can't see it no matter what I do with it!! Shame :-(

So now to my special buy of the weekend .. .. I am not a "clothes" person at all and am struggling to think of what the last item of clothing was that I bought .. .. but nothing I own has given me as much pleasure and excitement as a T shirt I bought yesterday .. ..

how about this ...........

isn't it fantastic!!

A man in our local shopping centre printed it for me yesterday. I am over the moon with it and am going to wear it for the Festival next weekend. My very own special T shirt and no-one else in the whole world has one the same. Tee hee!!!

It doesn't take much to keep me happy does it!!

Enjoy what remains of Sunday.

VIDEO BOY

Hi Everyone

Today is my "baby boy's" birthday!!

I have just come back from delivering his birthday goodies and so can now safely post his card here.

My son normally ends up with music/guitar themed cards because he is totally obsessed with music .. .. so I decided this year he should have a change. What else does he do with his time .. .. well the same as most young folk I suppose .. .. plays video games!!!

So this is his birthday card from hubby and I
and the funky close up version
This used:

Backing Papers: Trimcraft "Say it with a Smirk" For Him
Sentiment: Computer Generated
Ticket Sentiment: Hero Arts "CL171" Sparkle Clear: Tickets
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
ProMarkers
Diamond Stickles
Cord from the stash box

The background papers have foil effects which I think you are just about able to make out on the photographs.

Have a lovely weekend everyone.

Catch you again tomorrow.

NEW BABY CARD

Hi Everyone

I have spent the day working on new baby cards today. I love making baby cards .. .. .. probably because I love babies !!!

Pink ones, blue ones and yellow ones. I am trying hard to force myself to make a few peach ones but can't convince myself that anyone would want them .. .. so I haven't made any LOL!!!

Here is one of the yellow ones

and the close up view

This used:

Image: Penny Black "2073J" Baby Hammock
Sentiment: Pink Petticoat
Backing Papers: Pink Petticoat
Martha Stewart Punch: Doily Lane
Nestabilities: Standard Circles Large and Classic Scalloped Circles Large
ProMarkers
Crystal Stickles
Buttons and Ribbon from the stash box

Whilst talking of Penny Black and punches - don't forget the challenge over at Penny Black at Allsorts where we would like you to bring your punches out alongside your Penny Black stamps or stickers!! You can find the challenge here if you fancy joining in.

I joined the DT for this challenge blog this month and have been having great fun going round visiting the blogs of the entrants .. .. .. but I am having a slight problem. People are using gorgeous Penny Black stamps that I haven't seen before ... oh dear .. .. more on my "one day I would like" list!!!

Did you notice how polite I was there .. .. shame my Mum doesn't read my blog. She would be so proud. She brought us kids up never to say "I want" .. .. is should always be "I would like".

OK - back to more baby cards.

Catch you again over the weekend. Have a lovely Friday evening.

NO BACKING PAPERS TODAY

Hi Everyone

An attempt to create a card without the aid of backing papers today. I think I have succeeded.

The background stamp I have used is a Hero Arts stamp that my local craft shop was selling off for £2.00 .. .. .. and it now has the award for the dirtiest looking stamp in my collection. It is clearly something they have been using in their craft classes and although the stamp itself is perfect the wooden block looks horrendous LOL!!

Anyway, this is what I created using my £2 special. It won't take long for this one to pay for itself!!!

and the close up
This used:

I distressed the edges of the sentiment and background with the Peeled Paint distress ink and then stamped my image with the same ink and also Tea Dye. I wish I hadn't stamped the Tea Dye quite so dark now .. .. but never mind .. .. next time I will do it differently.

The Tattered Florals were distressed with Tea Dye and Wild Honey then sprayed them with the Glimmer Mist.

Job done!!!

Catch you again tomorrow.

TICKET FOR FUN

Hi Everyone

My share today has come about simply because I wanted to use a "ticket" on my creation. I love tickets!!

I have a little pack of three clear ticket stamps and thought it was time to show them the light of day .. .. I chose the "ticket for a fun time" .. .. and decided what better to go with this than my skater boy.

So here is the finished look

and the close up

This used:

Image: Greeting Farm: Skater Ian
Ticket Sentiment: Hero Arts "CL171" Sparkle Clear: Tickets
Backing Papers: Memory Stor
Nestabilities: Classic Rectangles Small and Classic Scallop Rectangles Small
Sizzix Die: Star #2
Josy Rose: Nail Heads
Adirondack Dye Pad for distressing: Pebble
ProMarkers
Cord from the stash box

I really enjoyed making this one. Skater Ian is probably my favourite Greeting Farm stamp.

Enjoy the rest of the day and I'll catch you again tomorrow.
