My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

QUACKING GOOD CHRISTMAS!

Hi Everyone

Happy Friday .. .. nearly the weekend .. ..  .. and another Christmas card!!!  Are you getting fed up with them yet?

I hope not because I still have lots of them to make.   But don't worry I will give you the occasional break because I am kind like that LOL!!

 This used:

Image:  Penny Black "4008J" Overdressed Duck
Sentiment:  Computer Generated
Backing Papers:  From my Christmas Snippet Box - so old I don't remember where they actually originated from
Dovecraft Holly Punch (many years old and very temperamental, so each year I feel it won't last for another year of Christmas makes)
White and black markers
ProMarkers
Red Flat Backed Pearls
Ribbon
Corner Rounding Punch
My Trusty Sewing Machine

and that is me for today.

Enjoy your weekend when it arrives.  There are lots of things that have "got to be done by Monday teatime" on my list so I am going to be well busy!!!

MERRY KISSMASS!

Hi Everyone

Hope you are having a good day!

Popping in quickly with another festive make which I am taking over to the "As You Like It" Challenge  where they would like to see our "Favourite Christmas Critter" and explain why.

Well I am sure it comes as no surprise that my favourite critters definitely come from Penny Black so it was just a case of deciding between a hedgehog or a mouse.

The hedgehogs won because I enjoy colouring them the most .. .. ..

This used|:

Backing Paper:  From my snippet mountain and no idea where it originated from

THINKING OF YOU

Hi Everyone

I had time for just a little play before heading off to Mum today and created this for taking over to the
Little Red Wagon Challenge where the theme this week has been "communication".

I went for good old fashioned letter writing .. .. .. .. though I must admit I can't remember the last time I wrote or received and old fashioned handwritten letter.

This used:

Image:   LOTV "James the Bear Thinking" Simply Print
Sentiment:  Woodware Clear Stamp Set "BD23 2DE" (very old and very yellow but still perfect)
Design Paper:  Pink Petticoat
Corner Rounding Punch
Ribbon
Hot Fix Nail Heads
My Trusty Sewing Machine

Hope everyone's week is going well - and if anyone needs a nudge to get cracking on Christmas makes .. .. .. according to Google there are 59 sleeps until Santa comes to the UK!!  Sounds a nice long time .. .. .. but I somehow think it is going to fly by .. .. just like the rest of the year has!

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Time for another festive make after my little break from Christmas yesterday .. .. .. .. ready for taking over to The Snippets Playground where we are encouraged to use up all those already part cut pieces of paper, card, ribbon etc .. .. .. basically whatever is left over from a previous crafty session I suppose.

I used some of the extra hour we gained here in the UK today to create this:

This used:

Dies, Image and Sentiment:  Stampin Up! "Hearts Come Home"
Snippets from Snippet Mountain
Corner Rounding Punch
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Crystal Glamour Dust

These were the snippets I started off with .. .. but I changed the grey star paper for another more greenish blue tone once I got going.   Not 100% sure where that came from originally .. .. may have been part of a Nitwit Collection.

The white die cut was already cut and waiting in the rather depleted Christmas die cut box, good job I have another box just for snowflakes!!!

So I am off to link up now, can't believe it is nearly November.  Soon be time for Miss Di, Sarn and Dudley to be preparing for the Christmas Nativity.  I am secretly hoping to be promoted to the "front end of the donkey" this year as I have been the back end for the last two years now!

Happy to bring my sewing machine along if there are any costume repairs needed.

Enjoy your extra long day everyone.

Hi Playmates

I hope your week is going well.

Mine is speeding away far too quickly .. .. .. as per usual.

Here with another much needed festive make, this time for the The Little Red Wagon Challenge where the theme is to "use a frame", and this is my offering.

FESTIVE SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a good weekend.

I was determined to pull in a bit of crafty time as it has been very lacking again this last week .. .. .. and lots of cards are desperately needed .. .. especially of the festive variety.

So I came up with this creation today and will be taking it over to the Snippets Playground where we are encouraged to use up those leftover pieces that we can't bear to throw away.  Be these paper, card, ribbon, fabric, wool .. .. the list is endless really.  (I wonder if grated cheese and diced onion mixed into leftover mash potato and oven baked counts?!?!?  I love that! LOL!!)

So here we go:

This used:

Sentiment:  Woodware Sentiment Stamp Set "JGS457" Hand Drawn Greetings (pre-loved from Ebay)
ProMarkers
Corner Rounding Punch
My Trusty Sewing Machine
Ribbon
Xmas Red Stickles
Papers from my Christmas Snippet leftover box .. .. Pink Petticoat, an old design pad from The Works
and the kraft with Christmas trees was part of an old Christmas Carrier Bag that a present came in during Christmas 2024, which I cut up for crafty re-cycling (and I still have more to play with
😊).

I hope the coming week is good for everyone.

WAKEY, WAKEY LITTLE BLOG

Hi Everyone

I hope October is being kind to you.

Lots of admin work going on here and definitely not enough crafting for my liking .. .. .. but a little play this morning produced this and satisfied my itchy crafty fingers:

This used:

Image: Floral Bouquet Clipart by Pixalora (via Etsy)
Sentiment:  DigiStamp Boutique (sadly no longer trading)
Design Paper:  Pink Petticoat (also sadly no longer trading)
Hot Fix Nail Heads
Ribbon
Silver Mirror Card
Corner Rounding Punch
My Trusty Sewing Machine

I am taking this over to the As You Like It Challenge where they want to know what our favourite fabric embellishment is.

To be honest I love all types of fabric embellishment but use ribbon the most (mainly because I have lots of it leftover from my years of making wedding stationery and I am determined to use it all up)

I am also taking it over to the Little Red Wagon Challenge where the theme is "stitches".  Plenty of those to be looking at!  LOL!!

So that is me for today .. .. .. back to the admin now that I have had a bit of light relief.

Enjoy what is left of the day.  Quite nippy here today .. .. and the nights are drawing in too 😞
