A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

THE BRAYER IS OUT OF THE BOX !!!

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well and have had a wonderful Christmas.

Yesterday we were 13 for a lunch-time buffet and an evening meal .. .. .. today we are back to 2 !!  :-(

I don't know it is "all or nothing"  LOL!!!

Big Baby Boy and his wife have gone back to London as they need to get ready for escaping the country on Thursday.  Lovely to see them .. .. very short and sweet but very enjoyable.

Little Baby Boy also went home this morning after a couple of nights on our sofa!!  So back to just hubby and I now .. .. .. and we are planning on a bit of chilling quiet time ahead of our next bit of entertaining on New Years Eve.

We had a bit of a problem yesterday .. . my car decided that it didn't want to start .. .. which meant getting all the cars on our drive was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle because mine wasn't parked very square and sensible .. .. we managed it but there were some strange angles going on LOL!!

Today it still didn't want to start so we tried using jump leads from my hubby's car to mine .. but no good.  Thankfully the RAC with their super-sized battery came to my rescue and we have spent an hour charging it by leaving the engine running and going for a ride around.

We turned off the engine when we got home and it re-started afterwards so hopefully all is sorted.  Mr RAC man said that I am probably not doing enough miles in a week to keep my battery charged up .. .. I guess he could be right as I am the world's most cowardly driver and I only ever poddle around my local area.  Sometimes my car can stand all week not used.  During this bad weather I have ended up clearing windscreens, using my heater, my headlights, the music machine!!  Silly girly .. I should have realised!!

Anyway, enough rambling and on to my creation.

It is quite simple .. .. but I was desperate to put some ink on my brayer that I received at Christmas.  Hardly the world's greatest masterpiece involving a brayer but at least I have broken it out of its box and used it.  Nothing like what I am hoping to be able to create in the futue but quite a nice starting point I think.

This used:

Sentiment:  Penny Black "3849E" Birthday Dreams
Cricut Cartridge:  Home Accents (for the swirly bits)
Sizzix Die:  Tattered Florals
Big and Juicy Pad:  Vibrant Primary
Glossy Accents
Papers:  All from the scrap box (prepare to see scrap paper being used in abundance in the new year .. .. I "will" use some of those bits up!!!).
Brads and Sticky Backed Pearls from the Stash Box

You can just about see the multiple layers of glossy accents that I have added to the coloured petals of the flower.

So today (and probably tomorrow and Wednesday)  we are on "eat up" after all the cooking of lovely goodies.  Just a helping each of sherry trifle left to enjoy in a bit .. .. mmmm..... lovely!!  But first a quick peep around blogland to see what you have all been up to.

Have a great evening everyone.  See you again tomorrow.

Love

This is gorgeous Jules :o) The flower's gorgeous - love the colours and musical notes. The swirl is lovely too - it's my birthday in a few weeks and I'm putting Christmas and birthday money together to buy a cricut expression, can't wait!

I'm the same with driving - I only drive when I have to, and I don't go far. I usually get hubby to drive... although even then I'm a bit of a nervous passenger!
