A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SILHOUETTE GRASS (AGAIN)

Hi Everyone

Hope you have had a good day.

Today "could" have been a sad day with the Bank Holiday finishing .. .. but because my hubby has the whole week off it wasn't sad at all.

We were up and out in the garden again bright and early digging up more brambles, nettles, grass and dandelions (and that funny sticky stuff that I have no idea what it is called).

Then treat of treats we went to the tip to get rid of our gatherings of the last few days and then to the petrol pump to fill my car up with petrol.  HOW MUCH!!!!  Good job I only drive local that's all I can say.

So home for baths (we only garden for half a day) and then we sat out in the garden and ate our lunch .. .. how super special was that?  No garden table for us though so I turned a bucket upside down and put a cardboard box on top of it to act as a table for our mugs of tea!!  Oh I love the high life!!  LOL!!!

A few more jobs about the place and then I settled down to a bit of creating.  I have so much I need to do  -  but lots of jobs elsewhere too.  Does anyone know where you can come by extra time that no-one else has?

Anyway, round to today's make.  I enjoyed making one of my snippet makes so much on Sunday that I decided to make a card using the same technique.  I do love the finished look.

This used:

Image:  Hero Arts "S5316" Silhouette Grass
Backing Papers:  Funky Hand and Aimee Asher
Distress Inks:  Broken China, Frayed Jeans and Dusty Concord
Joy Craft:  Butterfly Die
Josy Rose:  Nail Heads
Sticky Back Pearls and cord from the stash box

I don't know if you can see all the little dots around the edge of my card .. .. I did these using a dressmakers tracing wheel that I ran across my stamp pad before "wheeling it" across my card.

So that is me for today!!

I hope you like my share as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thanks for calling by and for all your lovely comments.  I do appreciate them.

Love

This is a real stunner Jules, love the fab colours and the interesting layout, great idea to use the tracing wheel with ink, at first I thought you'd been very busy with a paper piercer, he he.

I've made the crochet flowers myself, but I'm not very good at it, have to undo half of them, so when I manage to make one I'm foolishly proud. You have to show your makes too.

Sounds like you're having a great week with your hubby. Having a tea outdoors is always a great treat, table or not (but not over here at the moment though, we had snow yesterday, brrr, I had to dig out the wool cardigans from the drawer).

Enjoy rest of the week,
hugs
Maarit

Hi, Jules. The sticky stuff in the garden is called clivers, or sometimes better known as goosegrass. I used to work for Culpeper the herbalist and we used to sell the dried leaves as a herbal remedy. If i remember rightly it is used for insomnia and various skin complaints including psoriasis and burns. Also for insect bites. Fresh leaves can be boiled as a tea or lotion. Google it first though before you use it in case there are any contra-indications. Oh, and the card is lovely. Love the silhouette grass. xx

Love the card. It's very striking, just gorgeous!

Don't mention the cost of petrol to me. With all the driving I do, I'm forever filling up. Or I was until I read an AA tip that it's more economical to just half fill the tank. The car's not carrying the weight of the extra petrol you see. Early days so far, but it does seem to be the case, even though I'm now at the petrol station at least once a week.

Hugs, Pauline x

What a gorgeous card Jules. The colours are fab and I so neeed that stamp!!!!! Clever idea with the wheel. I've put mine in my craft tool bag (seeing as I nolonger dressmake, lol) but I never thought of inking it up. Might have to 'borrow' this idea. I'll give it back when I've finished with it ............... honest, lol!
