My photo
A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

OMBRE WITH DANDELION CLOCKS

Hi Everyone

I hope you are all well and haven''t melted in all this glorious sunshine we have been having.

One of the brides I have been working for got married last Saturday .. .. I bet they were able to take some amazing photographs .. .. and another gets married this Friday .. .. hopefully the weather will be equally gorgeous.

July is certainly a busy month for me wedding wise and as you can tell from my photographs I still haven't got my light box set up again yet :-(  The table still has seating plans on it!  Two have now gone as two of my weddings finished this last week .. .. but there are still more to be done and I need the space.

But I also need some general cards in a hurry too so whilst waiting for a delivery to arrive I thought I would have a play with a new Pink Petticoat download and came up with this:

This used:

Pink Petticoat downloads:  Ombre and Dandelion Clocks
Sentiment:  Pink Petticoat:  Tiny Celebration Sentiments
Crafter's Companion:  Die'sire "Scalloped Tags"
Sewing Machine
Pre-made Crochet Flower (but really need to find a pattern to make these!!!)
Glamour Dust .. .. that you can just about see
Brads and ribbon from my stash box

I printed the background by using the Ombre download printed in Cafe Creme onto smooth ivory cardstock and then put the printed background sheet back into the printer and this time printed the Dandelion Clocks download in Soft Truffle.  The beauty being that because of the way the designs are presented once the paper is trimmed you can made two cards.

Well my delivery still hasn't arrived .. .. it is promised to be here by 16.00hrs so not much time left!!!  Hope the driver is OK .. .. he is normally much earlier than this.

Can't wait to open the box .. .. I have ordered some goodies for making samples for some new "happy couples" that are coming on board but also added some new cardstock to experiment with for a new range ready for the next wedding fayre in October .. .. no doubt that will be here before we know it.

What else has been happening in the House of Hearts?

Well, we ate our first ripe tomato yesterday!!  Half of a small cherry tomato each .. .. gosh it was filling LOL!!!

All the crops seem to be enjoying the sunshine .. .. and the midges are enjoying nibbling at me.  Good job I am not a bride this week - I have a lovely bumpy bite on my left wrist.  Just imagine stretching your arm out to receive a wedding ring with that showing!!  I would have to learn to make one of those lovely crochet flowers quick and put it on a band to cover up the glowing monster!!!

Have a great evening everyone.

I am looking forward to the Lord Sugar interviews tonight.

Love

Such a beautiful card Jules. I love the paper, gorgeous soft colours and such a fabulous crochet flower. I used to make lots of these but that was a few years ago so have probably forgotten what to do now.

Jules this card is divine. You always come up with fabulous ideas. I have these Pink Petticoat downloads as I'm a bit of Pink Petticoat addict but never thought of doing this with them. Beautiful. Good luck with the weddings and hope the bite goes down soon. x

Hi Jules

So nice to see you back :)

LOVE this card and your crocheted flower is just up my street. If you get a mo, check out Attic24 blog, Lucy is a whizz at crocheting and has plenty of brilliant tutorials. She has one called teeny tiny flowers and could be just what you're looking for. If not, let me know and I'm sure I'll be able to source a pattern for you.

We haven't grown any toms this year sadly but do have two gooseberry bushes. At this point though I only have enough fruit to make a VERY small pie, so will need to add some other fruit or make a SMALL pie lol!

Have a lovely evening, will be with you and Lord Sugar.

Big hugs xxx

Fabulous card, as always, Jules - love the crochet flower. I have been longing to learn how to crochet my own flowers for such a long time, and I am going to a class at Embsay Crafts (Harrogate branch) quite soon, so watch this space!Lol !!

Can't wait for tonight's Apprentice interviews - that's my favourite part of the whole process!
Hope your midge-bites disappear quickly - hugs, Sylvia xx

Fabulous card, love the images and your choice of colours, any dandelion clock image is a fav of mine but hate them in RL, cause mayhem in the garden.
I really giggled at the "filling" bit, not one red tom as yet but picked my first cucumber yesterday.

Keep up the good work and by the way I saw a car yesterday with ' I make Wedding Invitations' plastered all over it, maybe another form of advertising for you!

Woderful card! It differs from your signature style...so I was thrown for a moment...it is really lovely too!
I can see the pretty glimmer to make them on their blog...the first photo...the angle of that one really shows it off.

The crocheted flower is fab...someone had a way to make them on their blogI will page back on a couple of likely people and try to find it for you!

Hope your delivery arrived, Jules. It's always exciting waiting for new stuff. It must be strange thinking about the winter month samples when we are in the middle of a heatwave, but the craft industry moves at such a pace doesn't it.
Love your dandelion card, that crochet flower is gorgeous.
Enjoy the weekend.
