A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

TEENY, TINY TUESDAY

Hi Everyone

I hope you have all had a really good Tuesday.

Here today with a "teeny, tiny" 3.5 inch square card which I must admit I am secretly quite pleased with.

This used:

Image:  Docrafts Papermania "Hampstead Collection" - Sketch Flower (a really old set that I still enjoy using)
Sentiment:  Hobby Art "CS-13D" Floral Greeting
Poppystamp Dies "Simple Little Tags"
ProMarkers
VersaMark Clear Ink Pad
Memento Ink Pad "London Fog"
Brass Embossing Powder
Ribbon
My Trusty Sewing Machine

In the past I have often tried to colour images I have heat embossed only to be disappointed .. .. .. but then today I had a bit of a brainwave.

First I used my stamping platform to stamp an image using Memento London Fog Ink .. .. leaving the stamp inside the stamping platform for later.

The image was coloured with Promarkers and was then returned to the stamping platform to stamp the image again on top of the original, using VersaMark Embossing Ink.  This then had brass embossing powder added and heat set.

Looking forward to trying this technique again.

Such a gorgeous card Jules and a great idea to use the stamp platform and go back and overstamp.

Lovely card and such a handy tip for the embossing - will have to give that a try. I'm sure I have that set of stamps but they haven't seen the light of day for years - wonder which box they are in??

A beautiful card Jules. A good idea to colour, then emboss. Stamping platforms have been a blessing haven't they? x
