Hi Everyone
Happy Monday!
Many thanks for the lovely comments on my previous post. You are all so very kind.
Yesterday my crafty playtime mission was to create something for taking over to The Snippets Playground where we are encouraged to use up our offcuts and leftovers.
This is what I have made to share with my playmates .. .. who I sadly haven't hung out with in the treehouse for quite a while .. .. sorry folks. But don't worry I come armed with treats for stocking up the cake and biscuit tins and fruit for the healthy ones amongst us! LOL!!!
I don't know where the papers came from that I used .. .. they have been lurking in my snippet mountain for ages.
This was my starting point
I started with two squares of snippets (which originally were part of two different 12 x 12 paper stacks) from which I cut two rectangles.
The two rectangles were then cut diagonally into four and then mixed together to create the background of my cards. I stick them to thin paper to begin with, trim around the edges and once the glue is dry add my stitching.
Sadly I will still be keeping the wide strips that remain for use on another project further down the line. So basically I suppose I have only really turned two snippets into two smaller snippets!! Doh!!!
My sentiments were already good and ready to use out of this box here, which has been put together in the past using snippets of different coloured card. Normally these would be stuck or stitched together ready to be used .. .. but sadly that hasn't been happening recently and the box needs working on. But it is really useful when in working order, especially when having a batch making session.

The actual box is part of one of the best things I have ever purchased from Lidl. There are six of these boxes, along with two smaller ones and they all store in a great zippy holdall bag that was being sold for holding fishing tackle .. .. but works perfectly for my crafty needs.
When the boxes are eventually all topped up again I will share some pictures with you as another snippet project.
Hope everyone has a good week.

Beautiful cards Jules, I love the mo chrome look and layout. Great organisation box as well for your snippet sentiments - you are very organised!! Xx
Two fabulous masculine cards Jules,a great way to use up snippets of paper. Sorry to read that mum now requires end of life care, although it must be reassuring that caters are always on hand to meet her needs.
Great snippets cards and of course you had to keep the larger strips - jolly useful bits!! Your storage system certainly looks brilliant and handy to be able to dip in for sentiments, layer mats and so on. Hugs xx - must remember to look into the biscuit tins when I visit the Playground.
Love the monotone look of these and the wonderful zigzag stitching. Your box of ready made sentiments makes you look so organised. Puts me to shame xx
That’s a lovely way to make four cards at the same time. Love the paper and your stitching is the perfect finishing touch. I have one very messy box, which I forget to use, so organisation tips are very welcome! xxx
Super snippets makes here Jules - even if you did end up with a few smaller snippets afterwards!
Good to see you in the Playground. Thanks for the cake and biscuits - much appreciated. I’ll leave the healthy option for others! LOL! xxx
Two lovely masculine cards Jules. I love the design and papers. I MUST start using some of my snippets this year. I keep them by colour in clear plastic boxes but some are just getting too much x
Hi there Jules,

I am so sorry to hear of the awful time you are having with your lovely mum - sending big hugs.
Hope you manage to squeeze in a bit of crafty time soon.
