A very warm welcome to my teeny, tiny part of the huge world of blogging. This is where I share my passion for making hand made greeting cards. So - why "Always with a Heart"? Well this is for two reasons. Firstly, it is because every card I produce carries a heart on it somewhere. This can be big and bold or small and almost hidden - the fun sometimes is just trying to find it! Secondly it is because I put my heart into everything I produce. I hope that any visitors enjoy seeing what I post. If you drop by then please leave me a comment so that I know you called. It would be nice to know that you have found my heart in what I do.

SUNDAY SNIPPETS

Hi Everyone

Happy Sunday .. .. and indeed happy September!!!  Where is this year going?!?!?!?

I was having a little clear up in the craft pod this morning.  Each day I try and tidy up something to try and keep some sense of organisation about the place  .. ..  but this week I gained another furniture cast off from my youngest Son and as if my magic it has fitted into the tardis like it has always been there and this called for a little more than a token tidy up.  It was one of those jobs where you have to make a mess to get straight again .. .. but all done very quietly at the crack of dawn whilst hubby was fast asleep.

There is still sorting to do but I am pleased with what I got done.

In fact my snippet make today has used pieces that were "hanging around" the craft pod.

The image was already coloured and has been on my desk for far too long and even the little ribbon bow was tied and waiting to be used.  So a rummage amongst the snippets produced this:

As always I am lazy on a Sunday and don't list my ingredients but a womble around the Pink Petticoat website would find everything.

Thank you to everyone who came up with the name for my flower making thingy .. .. I had left it on a row of book cases that stand outside my craft pod door and hubby was inspecting it this morning and said "it isn't called a daisy wheel is it?" .. ..  the only daisy wheel I could remember was one that you fitted to an electric typewriter back in the day .. .. but a Google search confirmed he was right.  It is a Daisy Wheel Flower Loom.

He then went on to say that he could remember his Mum and Grandma using them to make flowers for stitching onto crochet work.  A little trip down memory lane for him.

Also well done to everyone who took time out to try and find the heart yesterday.

They (yes, there were four in total) were here:

.. .. .. on the antenna of the two little bumble bees.  (Very, very small indeed).  Though some people suggested that the actual wings of the bee were the hearts .. .. and I think I could have got away with that too!  LOL!!!

Off now to go and share my creation of the day with the lovely playmates you will find in Pixie's Crafty Snippet Challenge.  Always lots of fun and laughs happening there and it is getting more and more popular week by week!!!!

Enjoy what is left of Sunday.

See you when I do.

Love

Lovely make - loving the punched border with the pearls! I thought it might have been the wings - didn't even notice the antenna! x

Lovely card, Jules, and as usual your stitching fills me with envy ... so perfectly straight :) I have that PP image and clearly I don't use it often enough ... it's so cute. Your DH did well to remember the name of the loom, and what it was use for too. Hugs, Elizabeth xx

Oh, you are clever, Jules, making miniature bee heart antenna!! I agree that the wings look like hearts, too. How clever of DH to recall those memories and the name of the daisy wheel. (And, yes, we had daisy wheels to change our fonts on those old typewriters!)

I'm so thrilled for you to have a new unit for the pod and to be doing a reorg! It does feel good and makes the juices flow, doesn't it?! I'm taking tiny steps to do the same in the Playhouse and would love to be able to toss it all out the door and then start again from scratch!!

Oh, but that's not why you called! Your Pixie's make is so stinkin' adorute!! Love, love, love!! Hugs, Darnell
